Is it possible to connect with anybody at all and have a conversation that enriches our lives?

I’m Andrew Riis and welcome to the experiment.

I believe there is depth, beauty and inspiration inside everyone when we take the time to connect. This podcast does just that.

Each episode is a conversation with someone that is or used to be a stranger. Perhaps we don’t need scholars or celebrities to create a meaningful podcast... Maybe some of the best stories are tucked away, folded into the pockets of random passers-by, of people who may have just never been given a space to tell their story.

Hope you enjoyed this convo with Anna :) I re listened to it fully at the time of realeasing it and it was a reminder for me of the wisdom that builds when we commit to conversations (and life, at large) as a journey.

I'm in the midst of delivering on a promise I made 4 years ago to release the full season of conversations. They are nothing more, and nothing less.

#10 — Conversations Are an End in and of Themselves

This conversation was an end in and of itself - the fact it happened was more important than the fact it was recorded ;)

So keen to launch the remaining 9 conversations soon... they still remain some of the most meaningful work of my life so far. Say hello on IG: @andrew.riis

New and Exciting

I’ve only listened to a few episodes, but I’m excited to listen to more and see which stranger we meet next. This podcast is definitely for those who love others, great to put on and do some work around the house and enjoy some crazy amazing stories!

Refreshing

In a world where many podcasts start to sound similar to each other and have guests whose stories have already been heard, Andrew has created a refreshing version that allows us to hear stories and get to know personas that would be otherwise unheard.

The power of connectedness is here

I think we have this understanding of a podcast where we are used to hearing the voices of people who have been popularized by media, however that limits our attention to only certain views of the world and we forget that people passing by on the street have a lifetime of their own unique experience that has been untapped. This podcast really draws that personal expertise out just through the power of conversation. Andrew is definitely no ordinary person as he is able to go there really bring out the best in other people. We go throughout our days with our guards up, with reasons and excuses not to find common ground with a stranger but I believe we really have more common ground with each other than we think! Thank you Andrew!
