    All set, Ready - BE!

For Further Prayerful Thought: What is the motivation for hungering and thirsting for righteousness for one who is confident of God’s unconditional love? How does that contrast with the moralist’s view of the moral law? What is the difference between seeking righteousness and being legalistic? How would you summarize Paul’s command to put on the breastplate of righteousness? What stood out to you about HOW to do this? How is the fourth beatitude (Matt 5:6) a prerequisite for putting on the breastplate of righteousness?https://www.forgingbonds.org/blog/detail/understanding-the-breastplate-of-righteousness

Too Unholy to be Holy Enough!

Like the parable of the mustard seed, the parable of the leaven teaches that the kingdom of heaven begins small and hidden but grows with a mysterious, transforming power. A tiny bit of leaven works its way through a huge amount of flour until the whole batch is leavened — a picture of how God’s kingdom quietly spreads and changes everything it touches. https://catholicproductions.com/blogs/blog/parable-of-the-leaven?srsltid=AYCX9vJomUsoA9S-NlOo1ltOgcg_OxhlKyCTB43aYrOJsL6iZGhfs8jJ

    Pure & Holy...

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord Jesus Christ, I bless You and adore You. I ask You to wash me, my memory, and my imagination in Your most precious blood. Guardian angel, I ask you to go into my memory and imagination to delete and remove anything that is not good for me to know: any lustful memories, any past experiences which impacted me negatively. I ask you to cast out the darkness in my mind with the light of Christ. Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, please purify my memory and imagination. Wash me clean in the blood of the Lamb. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Cameron Riecker

    Prayer for the Holy Souls

https://catholicherald.com/article/columns/why-pray-for-the-dead/ Purgatory is a letting go of habits, vices and ways of thinking or knowing that prevented us from loving as we ought during our lifetime.   The poet Dante likened the soul’s experience in purgatory to climbing a mountain, the summit being paradise. The climber might have to shed things that are bogging him down on the ascent. That process, of course, can be grueling, but with every step, one moves closer to the goal.
