    NUMBERS 9 | AT THE COMMANDMENT OF YAHUAH

    Numbers 9 shows that when circumstances change, Yahuah still determines what obedience requires.This chapter deals with two major situations: the appointed time for Passover and the lawful provision Yahuah gave when real hindrance stood in the way, and the cloud that governed when Israel remained and when Israel journeyed. In both cases, the people were not free to redefine the command for themselves. WHAT WE COVERWhy the appointed time still belonged to Yahuah.Why a real hindrance did not give man authority to invent another answer.Why the second Passover was a lawful provision with its own real boundary.Why being hindered is not the same as refusing.Why staying encamped could be obedience.Why journeying could be obedience.Why the action does not define obedience. The command does. WHY THIS MESSAGE MATTERSThe men who were unclean did not create their own solution. Moses said, “Stand still,” and waited for what Yahuah would command. When Yahuah gave the second-month provision, He also gave the exact time and order for keeping it. The provision was real, but it was still governed by Him. The same truth appears in the movement of the camp. Whether the cloud remained one night, two days, a month, or a year, Israel did not gain authority over the timing. When the cloud remained, they remained. When it lifted, they journeyed. Breaking camp was not more obedient than staying encamped. Both were obedience because both answered to Yahuah. Numbers 9 proves that changing circumstances do not transfer authority from Yahuah to the servant.
