    In this episode, I am joined by Dr. Julia Madison, PT, DPT to chat about the clinical management of plantar fasciopathy (aka plantar fasciitis). Dr. Madison, a fellow orthopedic resident at Thomas Jefferson University, speaks to many of the crucial components of effectively treating plantar fasciopathy utilizing an evidence-based approach. We discuss the importance of a thorough patient interview, key examination findings, differential diagnoses, treatment strategies, and special considerations for runners who may present with this condition.

    Integrating Functional Neurology into Ortho and Sports PT with Dr. Ryan Foley

    In school, we are taught how to treat the traditional "neuro" patients but not necessarily how to apply neurology in a meaningful manner to orthopedic and sports populations: everyone has a nervous system. My guest for this episode looks to address this discrepancy. In this episode, I am joined by special guest,  Dr. Ryan Foley, DPT, MISCP. Ryan is a physiotherapist currently practicing out of Waterford, Ireland at his very own cash-based clinic, Evolve Physiotherapy and Wellness. He is also co-founder of the continuing education platform, Integrated Kinetic Neurology (IKN) where he teaches how to utilize and leverage neurologic principles and mechanisms to help patients move and perform better, with the ultimate goal of developing more robust people.     Spinal Pain following MVA with Dr. Steele Clay

    In this episode, I am joined by physical therapist and former classmate Dr. Steele Clay, PT, DPT to talk about individuals with spinal pain following motor vehicle accidents. Steele shares how he examines and treats this unique patient population highlighting what he has had success within the clinic.  The first half of this episode discusses cervical pain following an MVA while the remainder of the episode focuses on low back pain.
