    Pastor Lowell Nelson teaches through Psalm 116-118 The Theology of the Redeemed part 2 on 7/15/2026 for our Wednesday evening service. This teaching is a continuation of the Egyptian Hallel Psalms of psalms 113-118 and the two doorway psalms of psalms 111-112. Psalm 116 The Song of the Saved Saint. A very personal and intimate psalm of the personal experience of salvation. It moves from the personal struggle of the saint as the pangs of death surround Him in Vs 3. Then in Vs 10-11 they do not want to believe those who speak forth the word of God and His promises because they were not experiencing them presently or able to see them coming in the future. But then in Vs 12-13 there is a realization that God is worthy of praise regardless of the present trials and painful experiences, if only because of their salvation. Psalm 117 The Song of the Summoned This is a broad psalm that expands beyond the personal salvation of psalm 116 to the invitation to the nations. This expands to the promise given to Abram in Gen 12: 3 Psalm 118 The Song of Sure Salvation. This prophetic psalm is a celebration of the sureness of salvation as it celebrates the Cornerstone of the salvation that God has offered and the celebration of that coming. The coming of Jesus Christ our Chief Cornerstone.

    Pastor Lowell Nelson teaches through Mark 12: 18-27 Skepticism or Sureness of Scripture on 7/12/2026 for our Sunday morning service. The Sadducees approach Jesus with the second test of His doctrine seeking to discredit Him before the people. The Sadducees who do not believe in the resurrection seek to show how confusing would be by using the levirate marriage passage of Deuteronomy 25. We will look at the foundations of the Sadducee's doctrine. We will see the foundations of Jesus's teachings of the scriptural foundation of the resurrection. We will also look at the theological anthropology: the study of the doctrine of the trichotomy of man. That man is a being of Body, Soul and Spirit as it is spoken of in the scriptures.

These two psalms open the thought process to why the exodus happened. Psalm 111 God rules over history. Psalm 112 God rules over His people. These two psalms open with praising God for His character and His works. Psalm 111 Redemption flows from Gd's character. Psalm 112 As the redeemed, we are to reflect and reveal the character of the god Who redeemed us. Psalm 113 God rules over heaven and earth Psalm 1145 God rules over creation Psalm 115 God rules over the nation and their idols.
