    Excerpts from AS IS THE SKY - poems in memorium

    This poetry collection is dedicated and in honor of my grandmother, Jean Martin Allen. She fell asleep in death on June 8th, 2020 at 96 years old. I began reading her journals as she chronicled the seemingly mundane day to day life, but I found deep insight into her character through those simple pages of her heart. It was an amazing project to work on because I challenged myself to write 40 different styles of poetry all focusing on my grandmother as the central theme. I have to say that I am exceedingly proud of this work and what I was able to accomplish in her memory. ~AI /jv NEW PROJECTS!! Together with this poetry anthology, I am launching a greeting card line, Narrow Gate Greetings, with its own branded merch: t-shirts, mugs, caps, sweatshirt, tote bags and more.
