    Ever wondered why sickle cell patients are best referred to with the term "WARRIOR"?? Why???

    This is an unedited piece I decided to record, I was inspired to give my own reasons why as a sickle cell patient, I prefer you refer to me as a "warrior", a sickle cell warrior I mean. Pardon my husky voice, I didn't prepare for it but I was pretty inspired to record it, and felt like sharing for awareness purposes. Sickle cell is a blood disorder, a condition that causes red blood cells to become misshapen and break down. Now this misshape is sickled like form crescent 🌙 in shape like a half moon. The cells die early leaving a shortage in healthy red blood cells (sickle cell anemia) and can block blood flow causing pain, not just pain but vaso occlusive crisis (VOC), very excruciating pain. No enough oxygen carrying hemoglobin. Sickle cell is a pretty life threatening condition and more awareness is needed about it. I shared a brief if my story on this episode to create awareness and encourage my fellow sickle cell warriors never to give up.. It is unedited and raw but very real, reality check kind of talk..     Problem in life is a constant battle,but you see this thing called "TEST OF FAITH" if you find yourself in one,consider it you have a purpose to achieve, you're a tool in God's hands for greatness, for humanity as a whole. We all have our purpose in life.
