    The Power of a Union: Farmworker Exploitation Amidst a Pandemic

    Enviroslug members Bijan, Chelsea, James, and Neil sit down with Sarbjit Sangha, a United Farm Workers representative and leader among Punjabi farmworkers at Monterey Mushrooms, to talk about the protections and benefits his union provides. Despite being praised as essential, undocumented and non-unionized farmworkers are stripped of their voice to negotiate for better working conditions, sick-pay or healthcare, leaving them vulnerable.
