    THE AUTHORITY OF THE CHURCH

    WHAT IS THE CHURCH? The church is spiritual, it is invisible but have physical manifestation that you can see The church being spiritual is that the church universal is beyond the local church THE AUTHORITY OF THE CHURCH The authority of that is given to the body of Christ, Authority that is given to people whose souls have been regenerated, Everyone who has been born again and given his or her life to Christ is part of the Church You cannot be a Christian if you are not part of a Church, People who have covenant together to fulfil the mandate of God. In the true and living Church, only people with regenerated heart can get in while in the local church, multitude can get in to fulfil the purpose of God, you need a local Church 3 PRINCIPLE THINGS TO DO WITH THE AUTHORITY The Church has the authority to make disciples: WHAT IT MEANS TO MAKE DISCIPLES- Molding people into the image to fit into that of Jesus Christ, The Authority to discipline people who want to make disciples must be bold enough to discipline people. Anyone who will be remolded and reform needs submission, any one who is not discipline cannot be a Christian. Authority to administer ordinance (Baptize): Identifying with the body of Christ. The ordinance of the church in the evangelical are: Baptism and Lords Supper, the ordinances are reminder to us as Christians. The Authority to Teach: The authority is remolding and rebuilding to teach and observe all things. In Conclusion The Church has authority to follow instructions and to discipline its people #LBCSERMON #LBCIBADAN

    The Authority Of The Bible by Rev’d Dr Tunji Taiwo

    THE AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE (2 Tim 3:16-4:5) WHAT THE BIBLE IS NOT The bible is not a creation story The bible is not history of the world(these are in the bible to guide you and lead you to the knowledge of God) It is not a body of moral rules and regulation, it is not primarily because of the law that it was written. It is not a book of culture and tradition WHAT IS NOW THE BIBLE The bible is a record of God's revelation to men and women It is a record of divine revelation of the power and might of our GOD It is about the unfolding of the love of God to us It is a record of divine relationship of the might and power of God From Gen 3,The bible records that the whole creation was in trouble and God had step in by giving us a new way of reaching him God himself is the one speaking tin the bible. THE BIBLE IS PRIMARILY THE WORD OF GOD The authority of the bible is the authority of GOD, We should see the bible as the final say on all matters WHY THIS STUDY. OUR LIFE IS DEPENDENT ON THE UNDERSTANDING WE HAVE OF THE BIBLE.
