Motherhood, Business & The Value of Customer Relationships with Stitch Savannah

So excited for today's episode and interview with Adrienne from Stitch Savannah! Adrienne altered my wedding dress in 2018 and it was PERFECT. See more here! Stitch Savannah is one of the most highly regarded best experienced alterations companies in Savannah, GA. Last year, owner, Adrienne gave birth to beautiful baby girls, Betty & Vivian. In our interview we talk all things running a business, the importance of customer relationships and motherhood! Adrienne's baby girl, Betty, has had to undergo multiple surgeries and so we talk about the difficulties of running a business while also being a mom. It was so much fun talking with her about this as I am now officially 17 weeks pregnant and looking forward to the journey ahead.  Huge thank you to Adrienne for taking time out of her busy schedule to talk with me! *I am so sad but the recording cut out during a question I wish I could have heard her answer to!!! Luckily I was also recording on my phone since the laptop turned black for a minute.  Stitch is now appointment only! Be sure to call them to get on their books for your wedding dress! Covid19 and the Wedding Industry

Let's talk the dreaded C word. Covid... coronavirus... that pesky pandemic that shook up 2020 and threw it on its head and disrupted so many individuals and especially the wedding industry. I'm truly not sure what industry took the hardest hit but from personal experience I know that we felt the hit hard.  Ivory & Beau alone had over 40 weddings postponed and a handful of weddings completely cancel. It has hurt. 2020 started as one of the strongest years in business and quickly became one of the most stressful years in business. From trying to determine the best course of action moving forward to keep the business afloat to having to make those hard decisions to close the doors then cutting employee hours, it has been a headache after headache followed by tears.  Listen along as I talk with one of our wedding planners, Megan Johnson, who is also getting married herself as we chat about covid's effects on the wedding industry. And then I take over to chat all about how we were able to overcome the hurdles covid threw at us.  Also, be sure to read the blog to get more details!
