    Celtics Offseason Is Heating Up

    Celtics offseason Jaylen Brown – Giannis Trade speculation The Boston Celtics officially made a trade offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo this past week, per @BillSimmons "I think Boston's going to get Giannis, and I think it will happen in the next week." June 14 Gary Washburn – I don’t think he (Giannis) is going to be a Celtic. I think the Celtics are gauging what it would take to get Giannis to Boston and trying to figure our whether they want to move Jaylen Brown .. I do think Miami has the edge on this, but I do think Boston is kind of sniffing around. I don’t think the chances are that Giannis is coming here and I don’t think the Celtics are shipping Jaylen Brown in this deal. I  think they’re trying to figure out how to get him with out giving up Jaylen Brown. His size, scoring ability and improving defense have stood out in workout settings and helped him solidify his status in the first. Boston is a team that annually casts one of the widest nets in predraft workouts and has plenty of depth on the roster, making this pick more of a luxury for them, whether that's picking a more experienced college player or developing a younger talent like Thomas without the pressure of needing to play right away. He is an agile big with real shooting touch, connective playmaking, and baseline skills with the ability to set screens and catch lobs. He also offers rim protection and is a locked-in help defender. In all three of his collegiate seasons, he made a massive leap in production each year.
