    This week Olivia interviews artist, illustrator and designer Hannah Sung. With an interesting career, Hannah has worked for Disney, Netflix and Fox as a concept sketch artist. We discuss Hannah's inspiration for her new watch design Paper Crane and how she came to collaborate with Mr Jones Watches. We learn how the coronavirus pandemic has shaped Hannah's life and artistic style. Hannah explains how she has moved from LA to Iowa in order to focus on her independent artwork.     Comic book creator and professor Ryan Claytor speaks about his new watch design, creative inspiration and career

    This week Olivia interviews comic book creator, watch designer and college professor, Ryan Claytor. With an interesting career, Ryan originally started as a graphic designer and is now an illustrator, author, professor and designer. We learn all about the world of comic book as Ryan shares his creative process, teaching methods and inspiration for his books. Ryan discusses his inspiration for limited-edition watch design Step right up and his interest in the history of gaming. Ryan explains how when designing Step right up, he enjoyed working around the watch movement constraints and was surprised by how much detail is possible on a watch design. A comic book professor, Ryan tells us how he teaches students how to tell stories effectively using literature and illustration.     Author and Illustrator Kristof Devos speaks about his career, design process and inspiration

    This week Olivia interviews children's book author and illustrator, Kristof Devos. With an interesting career, Kristof shares how he was originally planning to be a graphic designer and video editor. We learn all about the world of children's books from Kristof as he shares his inspiration and creation process. We find out that Kristof decided to be a children's book creator after a tragedy changed his perspective. Kristof discusses how he found similarities in watch designing to book creating, as they are both forms storytelling. As a parent, Kristof speaks about how his children have influenced his work such as an upcoming story about parenthood. Kristof explains his inspiration for his past watch designs, including A perfectly useless afternoon and how he designed them while on a plane journey.     Verre églomisé artist Marion Labbez talks through her inspiration, career path and current projects.

    In this week’s episode Olivia interviews artist and designer, Marion Labbez. With a unique career, Marion creates surfaces for interiors by gilding with gold and silver on glass. Marion explains how she ended up designing for Mr Jones Watches when she was working as a print technician. We find out how Marion discovered her gilding technique, Verre Églomisé while working for a surface designer in London. Marion discusses her training as a textile designer in France and her past experience in print making. Growing up in France, Marion explains how her life in Paris and studying Leon influenced her work  Marion tells us her inspiration for her watch series, embodying all the natural elements - fire, earth, water and air.     Illustrator Edward Carvalho-Monaghan talks through his creative inspiration, career path and current projects.

    In this week's episode Olivia interviews artist and illustrator, Edward Carvalho-Monaghan. Edward talks through his career path and education at Central Saint Martins in London. Edward shares how he started designing for Mr Jones Watches when he met founder and director of MJW, Crispin at the Pick Me Up art fair. We discuss Edward's creative inspiration and how it has developed over the years from music to architecture and philosophy. Edward explains how challenging it was to work with Mr Jones Watches to design a watch and create a circular composition.     This week Olivia sits down (virtually) with jewellery maker and designer, Dovile Bertulyte. Dove shares how coronavirus has changed her way of life and allowed her to focus on things such as marketing and family. Dovile tells us how she came to London to study jewellery and how that led to starting her own brand and designing for Mr Jones Watches. We discuss Dove's creative inspiration and how travel inspires her work. Dovile talks us through her designing process for jewellery and how it differs to watchmaking.     Director and founder Crispin Jones talks us through how Mr Jones Watches started

    In this episode, Olivia sits down to speak with Mr Jones Watches director and founder, Crispin Jones. We find out how the business has adapted during the Covid-19 pandemic and how the team are working to ensure the business is operating safely. With a background in art and design Crispin shares his educational background and how he first became interested in watchmaking.  After 13 years of business we learn more about the history of Mr Jones watches and how the business first started and has grown.  Creating the perfect design collaboration, we find out about the behind the scenes of design collaborations and the design process.
