What is this? I tried listening but 2 people who lacked charisma or a real POV just talked about what they found on the internet and often got even that info wrong. Actually, the girl did all of the heavy lifting and the guy talked over her telling her to Google stuff (like current pics of people) that she clearly already did. She didn’t get all of the facts correct but she isn’t dumb either, dude. Like, give your podcast partner some credit. This could be interesting but they share no original thoughts-just stuff you can google. Why can’t they speculate more about why these people disappeared or have contemplative conversation? This IS an interesting topic but they make it really mundane.
Also the guy went on a rampage about how he’s done with gender talks and battles...maybe 5 minutes after he tells the girl he tunes out women when they talk? And rolls his eyes at her saying culture has trained us women to be afraid of being alone with strangers on elevators. This guy thinks he has life figured out and isn’t interested in hearing about an experience he can’t relate to-and is rude about it. Why is any woman supporting this dude in 2020, let alone a female podcast partner? Also who are these people? They have no info about their names in their bios. I wanted to look them up to better humanize them but they can’t even make a bio page correctly. Clearly not professionals-just bored people in a fly over state I’m assuming? Sorry-but this is just bad. I wish them well and mean this as constructive criticism bc this is a lazy podcast and the guy seems pretty insensitive. Do better if you really want to do this, like by putting in real work, thoughtfulness, and basic listening skills-best of luck.
