    Who do you trust?

    Do you struggle with trusting God? Why is it difficult for us to relinquish control of our lives to God? He has the best vantage point! Proverbs 3:4-5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding, but in all of thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path." The writer is saying don't lean on your ability to comprehend, but trust God because he knows the end from the beginning.

    Guard Your Heart

    Guard your heart above all else for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23 When the scripture is referring to your heart it is actually talking about your soul or your mind, your will and your emotions. The fourth chapter of Proverbs highlights the importance of wisdom. Wisdom is having knowledge and knowing how and when to use it. In this chapter the writer goes on to admonish the reader to pay attention and listen carefully to his words. He says to let thee words penetrate deep into your heart for they bring healing to the whole body. It is so important to guard our heart because the issues of life flow from it. The word guard means to watch over in order to protect or control. We are supposed to watch over what we are allowing to enter into our minds, we are supposed line up our choices and emotions with God's word. The word brings healing to the whole body, whatever issues you face, find scripture that deals with that and put the word on it.

    What are you thinking?

    How we think is essential to our success, because our thoughts determine our actions. Is your thinking positive or negative? Negative thoughts often try to enter our minds, but we must renew our minds daily and align our thinking with the word of God. If we take time and meditate on God's word we will be successful.
