    Buckle in for this longer episode, heARTworkers. This week, we learn from the story of the empowering, beautiful, resilient and hilarious, Dylann Stairs. Dylann is a vivacious heart currently residing in Asheville, North Carolina with her husband Alex & pup, Huck. While Dylann's life may appear polished, we learn the road she's endured to make it that way. Dylann describes her late teen and early twenties; a period of alcoholism, drug addiction, loss and numbing. Her inspiring story tells the tale of her own recovery from her desire to numb her trauma's and pain, to her newly fostered level of awareness as she sits with years of sobriety and seeks to feel all the feelings. This episode does go into great detail about specific drug use and does offer real and raw language, trauma and heartbreak. A helpful companion to anyone currently struggling or who has previously struggled with substance use and mental health, Dylann offers a warm hug full of hope.
