What are we supposed to be doing as Christians? Certainly we are called to more than just a 1-hour worship service on Sunday mornings. Podcast 4: The Present Kingdom in Jesus' Teachings

Have you ever read through Jesus' teachings in the Gospels? Are these moral living  for anyone to follow, or something more? In this episode, we will look at how Jesus' teachings were directed at his disciples, and therefore, not meant to be practiced by just anyone; these are for people who are entering God's Kingdom now as citizens, and this is how they are supposed to live. Podcast 3: The Kingdom has Arrived!

Has the Kingdom of God arrived? Christians are very divided over this issue. Some say "Yes", it has arrived now. Others say "No", it is still to come in the future. In order to resolve this tension, we must look at what Jesus said and his ministry. The answer to this question is both/and, not either/or. It is both "Yes" and "No". In this episode, we will look at how Jesus' birth and his miraculous ministry both inaugurated the Kingdom of God now, while also pointing us forward to its ultimate reality in the future. Podcast 2: Building a Kingdom Hope

Have you ever read the Old Testament? It is a collection of 39 different books, and let's be honest, it can be pretty difficult to read. In this episode, we are going to look at how the entire Old Testament can be summarized in 2 things involving the Kingdom of God. Hopefully this can help you understand your Old Testament better, and more importantly, understand the message of Jesus Christ. Podcast 1: The Origins of the Kingdom of God

Do you understand the message of Jesus? We hear all the time about how Jesus taught to love our neighbors and to forgive others. But in the grand scheme of things, do you really understand what his message was all about? When we look at passages like Luke 4:43, where Jesus tells us that he came to proclaim the Kingdom of God, do you understand what that means? This is the first in a 5-part series looking at the Kingdom of God message that Jesus proclaimed. Today we will look at the origins of this message (in Genesis 1-3), to see where Jesus got this message from, and if the Old Testament has anything to say about this topic. If you are interested in more resources from this podcast or the Maple Grove Community Church, you can find all those resources at www.maplegrovecc.org.
