"Why didn't you lead with that!” - The Rashawn Nadine Scott Interview

Content warning: Two uncensored uses of a racial slur (1:02:15 & 1:02:51) in the context of a story about our guest experiencing racism while performing. This week, Candace the Magnificent and Jeremy Cobb are joined by actor, performer, and comedian Rashawn Nadine Scott! The Halflings chat with Rashawn about her journey as a performer, from growing up playing in bands to her love of musicals and acting, and how those early creative influences shaped her voice, confidence, and approach to performance. They also dive into wider conversations around TV and storytelling, including Heated Rivalry, alongside how Rashawn first discovered Dungeons & Dragons and what drew her into the world of actual play. The episode explores her experiences working with Dropout and her time on Burrow’s End, as well as the collaborative nature of tabletop storytelling. Along the way, The Halflings discuss navigating the industry as a performer, the realities of live performance, and the importance of community, representation, and creating spaces where people feel seen and supported. This episode ends with Rashawn's 'sauce based', pun filled Tale from the Table. “Personal Stories” - Indie AP Production Roundtable

This week! Jeremy Cobb and Candace the Magnificent introduce a roundtable style episode with those who are the heart of the industry - Ambrose, Alix, Calamity and Robert Madison II, AKA MadDrRob! Together, they explore how they choose the stories they tell and the motivations behind those decisions. The conversation reflects on how the need for representation influences creative work within tabletop, and how that responsibility shows up at the table. “Worthy of Belonging” - Intersectional Storytelling Roundtable

This week! As part of Black History Month’s centenary year, Jeremy Cobb and Candace the Magnificent welcome a powerful panel into the Halfling Stadium: Amihan “The Rose Cleric” , Aetherius Bordeaux, “Lamia” Cassie Walker and Queon Story. Marking 100 years of Black History Month, the conversation centres on the challenges of existing in the TTRPG space while telling authentic stories as a Person of Colour. Together, they unpack the spicy realities of the industry, including visibility at tables, who gets platformed, tokenism, structural barriers, and the uneven ladder of success. All four guests are storytellers in their own right, and the episode highlights how they interweave heritage, lived experience, and creativity into their work. From Black storytelling traditions to the responsibility of building inclusive spaces, this roundtable reflects on the weight and the beauty of carrying culture into fantasy, and what it truly means to uplift other POC creatives.
