    How Long? Who Can Stand?

In this message we explore the profound tension in the Christian life as depicted in Revelation 6:9-17, where the longing for Christ's return clashes with God's patient mercy toward the world. Drawing parallels between ancient battles watched as entertainment and modern fascination with apocalyptic destruction, we confront the danger of eagerly awaiting judgment on the wicked, much like Jonah's misguided hope for Nineveh's fall. Instead, the passage calls us to a balanced anticipation of justice without bloodlust, emphasizing God's delight in repentance over the death of sinners. We delve into the martyrs' cry of "How long?" from under heaven's altar, portraying their faithful deaths not as failures but as sacred sacrifices that echo Abel's blood and participate in Christ's suffering. Honored with white robes, they are urged to wait until the full number of God's people is complete, a reminder for believers today to prepare for potential persecution amid global stories of endurance, like Jim Elliot's mission among the Huaorani. Shifting to "Who can stand?" in the sixth seal's cataclysmic imagery—darkened sun, blood-red moon, falling stars, and a sky rolled like a scroll—we see the final unraveling of human power systems. Kings and slaves alike cower before the wrath of the Lamb, Jesus in his triumphant return, offering comfort to the oppressed: no injustice escapes God's eye, yet His delay allows more to be saved. Ultimately, only those forgiven through the cross can withstand the judgment.

The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse Revealed

In this message we explore the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from Revelation 6:1–8, transforming their image from symbols of doom into a source of profound encouragement amid today's chaos and uncertainty. Beginning with the white horse of conquest, which challenges the illusion of invincible empires like Rome, we see how it signals the rise of new powers that unsettle the status quo. The red horse brings war and the end of fragile peace, the black horse unleashes famine and economic collapse where basics cost a day's wages while luxuries remain untouched, and the pale horse rides in death and Hades, claiming a quarter of the world through sword, plague, and beasts—events that echo throughout history, from ancient plagues to world wars and depressions. Yet, the true focus isn't on decoding future predictions or mapping riders to modern leaders, but on the sovereignty of God behind it all. These horsemen emerge only at the command of the living creatures around the throne, unleashed by the Lamb who alone is worthy to open the scroll. As judgments meant to prompt repentance, they remind us that no calamity escapes Jesus' control—empires fall, hardships strike, but they serve His purposes, like birth pains heralding His return. In a world of collapsing birth rates, moral decline, and global strife, the one certainty stands: Jesus is on the throne, overseeing history until every elect is gathered, offering hope to the persecuted church then and believers now.

    The Throne

In this message we explore Revelation 4-5 as the antidote to the chaos and uncertainty of the world, urging a shift from obsessions with Bible codes, failed prophecies, climate doomsaying, and conspiracy theories to the profound reality of heavenly worship. Amid global instability and persecution faced by Christians—from ancient Rome to modern hotspots like Somalia, Iraq, Nigeria, and India—the vision of an open door to God's throne room reveals a scene of unceasing praise by the four living creatures and 24 elders, declaring the Almighty holy, who was, is, and is to come. This worship service in heaven reminds us that earthly powers like emperors or leaders hold no ultimate control; God reigns sovereign, inviting all creation to bow before Him and find stability in His unchanging presence. In this message we also confront the heavenly crisis in Revelation 5, where a sealed scroll of end-times prophecy—echoing Daniel 12—can only be opened by one worthy, revealing the Lion of Judah as a slain Lamb who has triumphed through sacrifice. On Easter Sunday, this truth centers on Jesus' resurrection, the cornerstone of Christianity that transformed fearful disciples into bold witnesses despite persecution, proving no mere political conqueror but the Savior who takes away the sins of the world. Ultimately, we affirm that Jesus alone is worthy to control the future, calling us to look to Him on the throne, worship amid trials, and trust His perfect sovereignty over all that unfolds.
