The rise of social media has given athletes a new platform to showcase their lives as an athlete, but also as an influential voice in society. But who creates this content? Who works the same hours behind the scenes, living the athlete lifestyle to film and capture their everyday lives?

Naveen Thavathiru, otherwise known as Nav Visuals, is one of the more prominent creators in this space who works primarily with Trae Young, the starting PG for the Atlanta Hawks. From interning at In The Lab to receiving a once in a lifetime opportunity to film Trae Young for a summer in the Bahamas, Naveen has built up quite a portfolio of athletes, artists, and other well known celebrities.

Kiran Shastri, a Professional FIBA 3x3 Athlete, is a voice that the world needs to hear in 2022. From developing his game in the San Francisco gyms to traveling all across the world for basketball, Kiran shares his one of a kind journey as a professional athlete today.


There’s no doubt that Kiran’s story will remain an inspiration to others for years to come, but one underrated topic in this conversation that struck me was the current climate of basketball on an international level.
