Ción Podcast is a space that disciples listeners to grow in humility and know our history through story. Where we tell stories to remember and reclaim who we are as image bearers through the STORIES of others, past and present. Narratives about us, our people, and our dignity are being re-told in the public square and it's time we rebuke this alternative narrative by using stories to remember and reclaim our imago dei. ‘Ción is short for “Bendición” and it’s often used as a greeting in Latino/a families towards someone we honor and respect that has gone before us (like an aunt, uncle, grandparent, parent, or even neighbor) that we are asking for their blessing upon seeing/greeting them. This is how we reclaim our collective dignity and remember our stories. By greeting one another with a posture of listening and learning. this is after all what discipleship is, learning.
