The NSW Police Force is searching for a missing teenage boy with only a blackened jawbone to work from.  Investigators create a nationwide bulletin, seeking the dentist who extracted two teeth from the individual shortly before his death. A record or an X-ray of that operation holds the key to our lost boy’s identity and possibly his fate

In this 3rd episode, Real Crime Investigative Journalist Adam Shand returns to Umina Beach to confirm the theory that the jawbone was carried in floodwaters from the Hawkesbury River to the coast in 2012. Another massive flood in NSW gives investigators a chance to model the early event and better understand the discovery site.

In June 2020, a human jawbone was found at a beach on the NSW Central Coast, possibly carried there by the storms and shifting sands. The bone is in excellent condition but almost black. Real Crime investigative reporter Adam Shand and NSW police discover there are more questions than answers. Through DNA analysis, police and forensic experts are able to pull more information from the jaw bone that could help identify who this forgotten person was and their fate.

Detective Inspector Nicole Jones, with the help of a legendary investigator from the past, brought a killer to book but the search for Mary’s remains continues.  Episode 3. Justice for Mary In 2008, Nicole Jones from the Unsolved Homicide Squad re-opens the cold case and returns to the original files and exhibits collected by her predecessors with startling results. Episode 2. Building a Case Jones re-examines mysterious letters to police from 1983/84 for clues. Did the killer hoax the police with a bogus burial site? Investigators comb new potential crime scenes and another murder investigation yields a breakthrough.  Episode 3. Bob the Yob  Forensic evidence removes any doubt as to who killed Mary Wallace. A suspect Robert John Adams is convicted but, claiming his innocence, does not reveal the location of Mary’s body. Police are appealing for public assistance to bring her home.
