Ep. 11 | UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs Sandhagen

Welcome to episode 11! On this episode I’ll be recapping the latest UFC Fight Night card headlined by Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Moraes. However, the big story was not Sandhagen’s victory over Moraes, but Joaquin Buckley’s incredible KO over Kasanganay, who I repeatedly called “Kayongsong”. What an embarrassing blunder. My bad (shoutout to Mike Goldberg). Also on the card, Edson Barboza picked up a victory over Makwan Amirkhani in routine fashion, but I discuss how deceiving his recent UFC record has been. Furthermore, Tom Aspinall continues his ascent up the UFC heavyweight hierarchy with a win against Alan Baudot. Finally, I discuss the first MMA show in history to occur in France! (it’s more of a Bellator rant though, sadly). Again, apologies to Impa Kasanganay. email me at: iknownothingaboutmma@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/iknammapodcast the intro and outro music for this podcast is made by Kaz1: https://soundcloud.com/kaz1music/wayne-in-08?in=kaz1music/sets/music-for-winners-vol-1

Ep. 10.5 | My Thoughts 7/10/20 | Did Adesanya Go Too Far? Conor McGregor vs Dana White, Jones vs Adesanya? & Much More

Hey guys, episode 10.5! Yes, I know… I skipped Holm vs Aldana, but come on - can you blame me? Instead of episode 11, here’s a long awaited news episode! Today I’ll be discussing whether or not Israel Adesanya went too far by humping Paulo Costa after their fight at UFC 253. Also, I’ll be looking at the feud between Conor McGregor and UFC president Dana White and the implications it could have for the future of the sport (also - what’s Dustin Poirer’s role?). I’ll also talk about the hypothetical Jon Jones vs Israel Adesanya matchup and whether or not I think it will ever happen. I also check in on the news of a potential fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson (6th time lucky). Leon Edwards gets a look in and finally, a bit of much deserved praise for Bellator. email me at: iknownothingaboutmma@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/iknammapodcast the intro and outro music for this podcast is made by Kaz1: https://soundcloud.com/kaz1music/wayne-in-08?in=kaz1music/sets/music-for-winners-vol-1

Ep. 10 | UFC 253: Adesanya vs Costa & Boxing's Back - Charlo Twins PPV

Episode 10! A milestone! (kind of) Welcome back to another episode of I Know Nothing About MMA and on today’s episode we’re going to be discussing the action from UFC 253, including Israel Adesanya’s dominant victory against Paulo Costa. He’s really that good. Also on the PPV, Jan Blachowicz wins the UFC light heavyweight championship defeating Dominick Reyes by stoppage. We’ll also be talking about some other fights on the card and I plead for the retirement of Diego Sanchez Finally, boxing’s back on the podcast! The Charlo twins headline a PPV together! Twins that are both legitimate world champion fighters - that’s crazy to me! email me at: iknownothingaboutmma@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/iknammapodcast the intro and outro music for this podcast is made by Kaz1: https://soundcloud.com/kaz1music/wayne-in-08?in=kaz1music/sets/music-for-winners-vol-1

Ep. 9.5 | My Thoughts 23/9/20 | Comparing Colby Covington and Muhummad Ali? Where Does Tyron Woodley Go Now? Should UFC Censor Their Fighters?

Hey guys! Nearly at episode 10! How about that?! This week in the news I look at the fallout from UFC Fight Night: Covington vs Woodley and I defend Teddy Atlas' admittedly outrageous (on the surface) comparison between Muhummad Ali and Colby Covington. Also, where does Tyron Woodley go from here? Is his future in the UFC? I also steal a bit of content from the lads at Morning Kombat by discussing the UFC's responsibility (or lack of) when it comes to censoring fighters' opinions when they are potentially damaging and misinforming. Lastly, I have a quick rant about rankings! Ep. 9 | UFC Fight Night: Covington vs Woodley

Hey guys, hope you're doing well! On this episode of the podcast we take a look at the main card portion of UFC Fight Night: Covington vs Woodley, as well as some controversies surrounding the event and on the prelims section of the card. This was arguably the biggest UFC Fight Night card ever and had that PPV feel to it! Maybe all thanks to two people: Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev. email me at: iknownothingaboutmma@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/iknammapodcast the intro and outro music for this podcast is made by Kaz1: https://soundcloud.com/kaz1music/wayne-in-08?in=kaz1music/sets/music-for-winners-vol-1

Ep. 8 | UFC Fight Night: Waterson vs Hill & A Bellator Rant!

On this very late edition of I Know Nothing About MMA we discuss the latest (lol) action in MMA, including the Michelle Waterson vs Angela Hill fight, the Ed Herman controversy as well as give Bellator a quick look (more a rant, but whatever). Apologies for the lateness of this episode! email me at: iknownothingaboutmma@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/iknammapodcast the intro and outro music for this podcast is made by Kaz1: https://soundcloud.com/kaz1music/wayne-in-08?in=kaz1music/sets/music-for-winners-vol-1

Ep. 7.5 | My Thoughts 8/9/20 | Masvidal v Diaz Rematch? Nick Diaz Returning? Discussing Dana White's Sex Tape

Hey guys, hope you're doing well! These are my thoughts for September 8th 2020, including my thoughts on  the BMF title rematch between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz; the potential return of Nate's brother Nick next year. Also, we see what Leon Edwards is up to these days. Is Daniel Cormier a shill? And later down the line we discuss Dana White's sex tape, and finally, the beef between...Ariel Helwani and Luke Thomas! Ep. 7 | UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Sakai

Hey guys! I apologise if this episode is out of wack, I'm using a totally new DAW and new hardware!  This week we saw Alistair Overeem continue his tilt towards a title shot in what will probably be his final run in the UFC, defeating Augusto Sakai in true demolition man fashion. Also on this card we saw Michel Pereira finally put it together and put on a performance which showed the best of both worlds - the style and the substance. Another notable victory on this card included co-main eventer Ovince Saint Preux picking up a brilliant knockout victory over Alonzo Menifield. email me at: iknownothingaboutmma@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/iknammapodcast the intro and outro music for this podcast is made by Kaz1: https://soundcloud.com/kaz1music/wayne-in-08?in=kaz1music/sets/music-for-winners-vol-1
