There’s something beautiful about coffee. Not just the flavor, or the ritual, or even the caffeine itself… but the way it creates connection. A cup of coffee has the power to bring strangers to the same table, to carry stories across countries, cultures, and generations. And somewhere along the way, coffee became more than a beverage for me. It became language. Identity. Home. For those who don’t know me, my name is Jorge, but most people call me Chewie. And after years away from this microphone… welcome back. This podcast was born from conversations, from curiosity, from community. And maybe life pulled me away for a little while, but coffee always has a way of bringing us back to what matters. So whether you’re listening during your morning brew, your shift behind the bar, or a late night drive home… thank you for being here. This is more than coffee. This is culture, tradition, creativity, and connection. And this… is just the beginning.

I survived to a solo shift.

I survived to a solo shift, it may sound a bit exaggerated to use the word survived as if it had been a battlefield or a war; but I can tell you that sometimes this is how it feels to be behind the bar with no one to help you. Being the only person at the register and making drinks. Today more than saying or poor me I worked alone today I want to give you some advice to you barista who gets anxious about being alone at the bar or even when you have someone at the register but the rush is so much that you start to feel overwhelmed because there are too many drinks. So I want to tell you what to do and what not to do when this happens.
