    S7 E9 SORRY FOLKS, PARK’S CLOSED

    Summertime is flying by! In this episode, Patty Cakes takes you on a wild San Diego ride. From six foot choppy waves in Pacific Beach, a mystery beach bite, and Ziggy’s solo adventure attitude, to the craziest thing on the highway: an 18 wheeler flying down the road while the driver is eating a giant slice of pepperoni pizza. Patty talks old school San Diego, hearing stories about Ted Williams, Hoover High, and what Pacific Beach was like back in the day. The original vision for PB, the beach town feel, and why it still has that unique character today. Then it’s the SeaWorld story. Should Patty have trusted his instincts? His back was telling him not to ride roller coasters, and sure enough, SeaWorld had a power outage and the park closed. Imagine paying for parking, getting inside, waiting for rides, and then hearing: “Sorry folks, park’s closed!” Good news though, tickets got extended. Plus, gym talk, a $100,000 commercial deal, old clients, family stories, Canada trips, Hawaii Ray-Bans, and why sometimes you just gotta listen to that little voice. Sometimes the best days happen when you throw the surfboard in the car, stay off your phone, and spend seven hours outside. Put your sunblock on… and go make some memories.
