    Plot Twist | The Eunuch | Mark Coulter

    This story includes three main actors: God, Philip, and the Ethiopian official. Phillip is in the middle of a incredible revival when God sends him to a desert road. The Ethiopian official is traveling home after worshipping God in Jerusalem, but his experience was limited because he would have been barred from entering the Temple precincts. Why was he barred? Because he was not physically sound, that is, he was a eunuch. But God sends Philip as a plot twist to meet the Eunuch, who had been excluded from the Temple, with the good news about Jesus, the One who welcomes all who believe. A good plot twist makes for a great movie! A good plot twist puts us on the edge of our seats as we see characters' lives move into a different direction and a new reality. When God steps into our lives, we can experience our own plot change. God can take away our guilt. God can bring healing when we least expect it. God can provide for us when we feel like hope is lost. God can see value in us when no one else does. Naomi's life had hit a rough patch, but even though her family move to another country because of famine in Israel, at least she had her strong husband and two sons. And then her sons were married and their life together with two daughters-in-law blossomed -- until. Have you experienced that "until"? Until the bottom fell out, the walls caved in, and all your hopes seemed dashed? In a short period, Naomi's husband and both sons died, leaving her alone in the world. But God. Maybe you have seen the "but God" moments or maybe you are still waiting. Just know that God is still working in the behind the scenes to bring good out of your story, just like He did for Naomi.
