    Flourishing: Watch God Do It

    Church should be a place safe to heal, grow and develop your walk with God... but it’s also filled with imperfect humans who are all trying to figure out how to best live life, just like you are. Pain happens in church sometimes and I want you to know if you've experienced this, you are not alone. In this episode of Flourishing, my friend Monique shares the painful experience of betrayal in the church and in marriage and how God not only carried her through this time but has totally and completely redeemed her story.     Flourishing: Living in Your True Identity

    Identity is a popular term used in society today. People "identify" themselves by so many different things - job title, ministry, family placement, career, gender, sexual orientation, race, cultural background, educational level, medical diagnosis, personal addiction...the list goes on. Do you find yourself questioning your true identity? Do you compare what you see when you look at yourself to the person you see behind a screen in your hand, or on your desk or mounted to your wall? Do you find yourself wondering if you'd be better off in someone else's skin, body, shoes? When identity is placed on worldly labels and categories things can get confusing, conflicted, complicated and unnecessarily competitive, among other non-fun things. But when your identity is determined by the One who designed and created you, gave you a name and looks upon you with awe and love, there's a supernatural exchange of favor and power that moves your life on a path no one or nothing can separate you from. When you are rooted in the truth of who God says you are, everything in life takes on a new look. Your perspective shifts. Your confidence grows. Decisions become more sound and saturated in wisdom. This is what living in true identity looks like. Today, we hear from my wonderful friend Amy who shares how life with God is a series of conversations that lead us to know more of who he is and who we are. In this, we are better able to hear his voice above our own and walk in our true identity - which is an area of life that never stops developing.     Flourishing Deeply and Intimately With Jesus

    Happy Valentine's Day, Beautiful! Thank you so much for joining me today on this episode of Flourishing! Today, I wanted to give you a sneak peak on a conversation I had with my wonderful friend and life coach - Dawnella.  Dawnella is a gift to those who know her, who experience her. She speaks from the deepest parts of her heart and shares the intimate conversations she has with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. That may sound like something too good to be true, or maybe too weird for you, but Dawnella explains how she’s able to have such a deep relationship with the Trinity. She also reveals the effect this kind of relationship has on her life - a life filled with love, joy and peace that doesn't make sense. What she shares is available to you and I too.
