    ARGUMENTO 2 | ENCONTRA DE LA VIDA HUMANA

    Argumento 2: El feto no es totalmente humano porque depende de otro. ¿Acaso un bebé canguro no es canguro porque vive en la bolsa de su madre? Por supuesto que sí lo es. El lugar o situación de un ser humano no lo hace menos humano. Los argumentos a favor del aborto fundados en la dependencia se basan en una premisa peligrosa. Si una dependencia hace que la persona sea menos humana, entonces sobre esa premisa tendríamos el derecho de asesinar a infantes fuera de la matriz, a personas en diálisis, a los discapacitados y a los ancianos. ¿Tenemos el derecho de asesinar a todas las personas que dependen de alguien o algo? Piense en dos madres que llevan varios meses de embarazo. Un bebé nace prematuro, mientras que el otro permanece en la matriz. El primero depende totalmente de la intervención médica para sobrevivir, y el otro del cuerpo de su madre. ¿Es correcto matar al bebé que nació prematuramente? ¿Cómo reaccionaría el personal del hospital si la madre entrara a la sala de neonatología con un cuchillo para atacar a su hijo? Si no está bien matar al bebé prematuro, entonces ¿porqué está bien matar al bebe en la matriz? Ambos son dependientes. Ambos son infantes. Ambos tienen que tener protección legal.
