Midnight Book Club: The Witcher

I really enjoyed their summaries of the books. I’m into the games and wanted to get the back story. The only problem is that they keep inserting their weird far-left politics into it, and the female host is politically vapid.

A very whimsical podcast that is a mix of anecdotes and asides. The only thing that seems more fun than listening to it would be making it.

This is an excellent companion to reading the books. I would highly encourage anyone listening to read alongside. Some of the subject matter in The Witcher isn’t 100% straightforward and these two do a wonderful job of diving into the details and delivering clear concise thoughts and opinions.....or atleast Alexa does haha XD My only gripe is that their “night cap” section generally breaks up the discussion in way that is not personally engaging to me. I’m not a wine fanatic and wish they would add time stamps to the details section for someone like me who would prefer to skip that portion and just focus on the books. Other than that, this will absolutely be a staple in my podcast repertoire until the finish. Keep up the good work Alexa and Jon. Happy holidays!

Recently began listening to this podcast, I wasn’t sure I would enjoy it, but figured I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did! There aren’t many Witcher book podcasts so I appreciate this pod. While I’m further along in my own reading, it’s nice to revisit and hear their breakdown and ideas. Thanks much, and cheers! (Psst, this is a friendly comment - I believe the name “Nimue” is pronounced Nim-Way, as in the Arthurian legend’s Lady of the Lake. Not trying to be tacky, some of the names are very difficult. So who knows? Just my 2¢)
