I thought I’d give this podcast a spin with the Gabby Petitos case. After four or five episodes I just had to stop listening. While the show sounds good it suffers from horrible editing choices. The Petitos case jumps back and forth through time. One moment she’s missing next she’s dead and moments later we are back to missing. It happens dozens of times, the podcast can’t stay on a chronological timeline to save its’ life. Then there’s the speculation. Dog the bounty hunter it included several times in which he makes many predictions… all wrong. So we hear from an LA Sheriff’s deputy (Why? Who knows?) he makes his baseless predictions… all wrong. Now John Walsh world famous death gad fly who makes his predictions… all wrong. This podcast is chock full of seemingly endless speculation. At the point I quit they were 100% wrong. When not screwing up the Petitos case they wonder off to other cases because, and this is just speculation, they might maybe, somehow have something to do with Gabby. But again no, wrong. Okay last of all, grammar. “The family had never went through something like this…” WENT THROUGH, just shot me and the English language. This was the grammar error which ended it for me.
I have to add this as well. They wander off to other homicides and become obsessed with a wedding party that was being held close by the scene of a killing. It goes on and on, why weren’t they all swabbed for DNA and had interviews and background checks! Oh let me venture a guess. The podcast has a correct speculation score of exactly zero, nada, zilch. Perhaps the police find mid ceremony an inappropriate time to strip search the guests. So much vapid stupidity all read with a dulcet toned voice.
