    Liberal Confessions

After the election, how can we begin to heal the divide without excusing inexcusable behavior?  Maybe it starts with us, admitting our own shortcomings, and inviting others to join us on our journey.  Taylor Kerby, the host of Talk About It, joins Sarah and Andrea as we figure out the way forward.

We STILL Want to Fund Education

We're back with Christina Bustos for Part 2 of our interview about Prop 208. Turns out, education is STILL an important issue, and STILL one you can vote on in this election. If you've not yet turned in your ballot, drop it off at a center near you.  We SINCERELY HOPE all Arizonans vote YES on PROP 208.  We hope everyone else fights for education funding in their own communities.

I've Got a Proposition for You

This episode is part one of a two part interview with Christina Bustos, a proponent of Prop 208.  She is a long-time activist, fighting for racial justice, education, and integrity in politics. These 30 minutes are spent discussing intersectionality and writing legislation.  She also throws in some practical tips about a Mary Poppins Activism Bag (TM) and a civics lesson for good measure. For more information on the proposition, visit https://investined.com .

Hot Take: Self Care Ain't Mani-Pedis

We're 40 days from Election Day, and the anxiety is back.  What does actual self care look like in 2020?  We think it starts with creating an uplifting echo chamber that can energize you for the fight to come.   This episode is dedicated to the memory of RBG.   "Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you."

    What's the Next Right Thing?

Sometimes activism looks like an organized sit in or a coordinated boycott.  Sometimes it looks like a couple of girls sitting in around in bathing suits and messy buns* talking about how to vote.  You can guess which one this episode is.  Find out what a PermEV is and how you can be a PermEV, too.   *To be fair, there was only one bathing suit and one messy bun.

Eserian nakera: How are all the children?

Deborah Colbert, the executive director of Black Mothers Forum, joins Sarah and Andrea to remind women everywhere their voice matters.  Deb's history in project management means she's a systems-thinker.  She advocates creating organizations to attack unjust structures from all sides. Be inspired.  Visit the website.  And, oh yeah- VOTE.   www.blackmothersforums.com

    School Boards Don't Have Historians

Join Andrea and Sarah as they interview Sarah James and Armando Montero, two candidates running for the school board.  They help define the purpose of a school board (spoiler alert:  it's different from a student council, and not nearly as fun as planning prom) and give tips on how the community can get involved in local elections.

    The Baseline

Here's where we're at.  We know all the things, but we don't do all the things.  What should we be doing right now to prepare for November 2020?
