🏷️🏷️🏷️Drop The Labels Part 3: Reclaim Your Position

As we close out the “Drop the Labels” series, we come to one of the most powerful stories of restoration in Scripture — Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9. This is more than a story about land being restored. This is a story about identity being restored. Many of us have lived in our own version of Lodabar — a low place, a dry place, a forgotten place. A place where labels, trauma, rejection, brokenness, and pain caused us to forget who we are. Mephibosheth was dropped as a child, and the drop left him crippled. And honestly, many of us can relate. Some of us were dropped emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or relationally by people who may not have intended to hurt us — but the damage still happened. The wounds were real. The labels were real. The brokenness was real. But what blesses me about this story is that even while Mephibosheth was hidden in Lodabar, David remembered him. And that’s the revelation: God does not forget His sons and daughters. In this episode, we talk about: ✨ healing from the “drop” ✨ breaking agreement with labels ✨ reclaiming identity ✨ covenant and restoration ✨ the power of movement and leaving Lodabar ✨ why God still calls broken people back to the table Because you are not what happened to you. You are not the labels people placed on you. You are not the place you were dropped in. You are who God says you are. And it’s time to reclaim your position. 📖 Scripture: 2 Samuel 9 #DropTheLabels #ReclaimYourPosition #IdentityInChrist #ChristianPodcast #HealingJourney #Lodabar #FaithBasedContent #CandisJ #RiseAndRecover #KingdomIdentity

Drop the Labels Pt. 1: The Drop That Crippled You

In this raw and Spirit-led episode, Candis opens up about the hidden impact of labels, and how they can silently shape our identity, relationships, and walk with God. Have you ever found yourself thinking like the old version of you… even after becoming new in Christ? Have you been stuck in cycles of performance, trying to be everything for everyone—just to be seen, heard, or chosen? This episode confronts that struggle head-on. Using 2 Corinthians 5:17 and 2 Samuel 4:4, Candis breaks down how painful words, past experiences, and even well-meaning people can “drop” us—leaving us spiritually crippled and stuck in false identities. But healing is here. Freedom is here. And God is calling you back to who you’ve always been. ✨ In this episode, you’ll learn: What labels are and how they formWhy unaddressed labels turn into identityHow performance is often rooted in painThe spiritual impact of being “dropped”How to begin healing and releasing what crippled you 💭 Take a moment to reflect: What has been shaping your identity more—God’s truth or past labels? 🙏🏽 This is your invitation to: Release the labels.
