This podcast will dive deep into conversations with guests who spill the tea on how they try to thrive. This podcast is for anyone looking to integrate more self care into their lives; for those who hate self care and are not good at it; for those who are doing the work and trying their best; and finally, it's for those who have a pretty good routine going and want to continue learning from more suggestions when it comes to living your best life. Truthfully, we all might find ourselves in any of the above headspaces at any time, so let’s connect and share. Our guests this season span the globe.     So excited to share Stacey Lei Krauss (SLK) with you all today! SLK is a Fitness Educator, Yogi and Truth Seeker. She is the creator of several internationally recognized group exercise education programs which specifically address emotional health. Her practices focus on integration of mindfulness, meditation, conscious breath, and intentional barefoot movement. She’s certified as an exercise physiologist, personal trainer, meditation coach and Reiki healer. She completed her 500hr yoga training in Mysore, India. She is a conference speaker and has represented BOSU, Schwinn, Nike and Peak Pilates as an international Master Trainer. Speaking to us from Mysore, India.     Tony Berlant is a veteran of health and fitness industry with almost 30 years of overall related experience. He holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from UCLA, and a Master of Science degree in Exercise and Movement Science from University of Oregon with a special focus on Sport and Exercise Psychology. Tony joins us to discuss diversifying your self care. Our conversation spans such relevant topics as brain training, having a positive mindset and moving as we age. Tony has held positions of Corporate Director of Education for The Sports Club Company (i.e., Sports Club/LA), Education Coordinator for YogaWorks, Inc., Director of Programs for Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc., and before co-founding Q4 Active, he served as the Director of Education and Programs for the MedFit Education Foundation. He was first certified as a personal trainer by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) back in 1996, and more recently obtained certifications as a Functional Aging Specialist, and a Brain Health Trainer.     Meet Melanie Guadalupe. Mel is originally from the UK and moved to the US in 2002. She holds an MBA but says her passion has always been deep-rooted on the front lines of fitness helping others to reach their goals. She holds several internationally recognized certifications to include National Academy of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer, Athletics and Fitness Association of America Group Fitness Instructor (GFI), Training Peaks Power Specialist and is a Spinning® Master Instructor and Power Specialist Master Instructor. Mel’s self-care advise will resonate with so many of us as she stresses the importance of truly listening to what our body and soul are telling us. This is a huge shift in mindset for many of us and learning to respect our bodies is paramount to living a quality life as we age. In her teens, Mel was a competitive athlete holding UK national titles and world rankings in Artistic Roller Figure Skating and trained at the Olympic Center in Colorado Springs during her off season. Melanie has been working and presenting in the Health and Fitness industry for almost two decades and is passionate about people. She is an active mentor for new group fitness instructors at Yates Field House, Georgetown University. Melanie also enjoys co-training the University’s Triathlon team in the Spinning® Studio. Away from fitness Melanie is mum to her two beautiful daughters and loves music, dogs, travelling, discovering wine and dancing.     Beyond excited to share my mentor and all around fabulous human, Petra Kolber (Speaker, Author, Positive Psychology Mindset Coach). Petra is the author of 'The Perfection Detox,' a keynote speaker, and a Positive Psychology Performance Coach. With over three decades of experience in the fitness industry, Petra has globally presented thousands of workshops, created best-selling workouts, hosted several television shows, and earned some of the most prestigious accolades in her field. In this episode, Petra discusses being a former perfectionist, overcoming anxiety and panic attacks, creating communities and bringing our BEST self, not our perfect self to all we do. Petra's journey is about more than just fitness; it's about constantly reinventing herself and proving that age is just a number. At 50, she went back to school to study Positive Psychology and developed Moving to Happiness, one of the first coaching programs to combine movement with mindset. At 55, she dove into the world of music, learning to DJ and debuting at a major event for an audience of 500. Then, at 58, Petra embarked on a solo adventure, traveling across Europe for 10 months. And at 59, she ventured into the corporate world for the first time, taking up the role of VP of Personal Development and Mindset at a prominent fitness company. Petra is a two time cancer survivor and her current passion is helping “Ambitious Procrastinators”™ turn their doubts into drive.
