[THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!] WELCOME BACK!  What's a Sports Director to do? Les was challenged by WPIG, the Number One Station in the market, to a Softball game. The problem is, they're good...beat the Baptists, good. No way Les can back out now. He shook on it! He ALSO bet $200, which might carry more weight than the handshake. Jennifer says she'll play. Once the guys hear she plans to play in her new red short-shorts, suddenly Les has a team. The PIG's good, Station Manager Callahan is a jerk and Andy has the guns greased up to a high shine. Please bow and uncover as Bailey, the most wholesome among us, pleads for a little mercy.  Once we "play ball!" the Mighty KRP lays it all on the line. "Moose" Carlson comes alive in the 7th and the gang has a HECK of a day out at Shadow Ranch Park. Grab your peanuts and Cracker Jack...you might also want a little sunscreen (if Andy left any, that is)...and push 'play'.  If Pete Rose were a bettin' man, he'd probably take a little action  on this one.  WATCH ALONG DETAILS... [Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! We highly recommend the 'Shout Factory' boxed DVD set of the entire WKRP series. For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog"  episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. Once we've got everyone who missed last week up to speed, we hit the ground running...er, sitting...with Bailey still in the station. She's doing some adorable  fretting about being stood up by Johnny. Meanwhile, Johnny is dealing with the fallout from Hurricane Buffy. He's going to get sued!! The man who has NOTHING is about to get sued! The evening continues...it's turning out to be almost as long as that version of "After the Love Has Gone" Venus was playing. Buffy continues to be as crazy as a loon, Johnny isn't feeling so good and the Sherry is running low!! Come on over!! But please knock, the doorbell costs a fortune. It's time to push 'play' fellow babies...the Two Part Season TWO Odyssey Continues.  I need some headache powder... WATCH ALONG DETAILS... [Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! [THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!] WELCOME BACK!  It's the start of Season TWO!! The gang's all back...at least the on-camera gang is back. There are a bunch of new faces in the writer's room, we've moved the entire station from KTLA to the MTM lot and Johnny's getting sued! Season Two is kicking off with a 2-parter. An old flame of the Doctor's named Buffy has come to Cincinnati. It so happens, she's arrived the very same day that Bailey finally gets up the courage to ask Johnny out on a date. Bailey asks, Buffy calls and Johnny accepts...both! You'd think we'd be setting up a classic "two dates in the same restaurant" gag. Nope. Johnny completely forgets about his commitment to Ms. Quarters when given the chance to reconnect with "No Kiddin' Around Buffy." Johnny gets a shock when he discovers what those long-ago "no kiddin' around" days in L.A. might cost him! We spend a lot of time in Jennifer's apartment, Herb has been wardrobe shopping and somebody's trying to sound like Venus on these Shout! Factory disks (t'ain't pretty, fellow babies!). Confused? You're not alone! We'll try to get it all sorted out...but we can't do it in one episode!! Put the Champagne on ice, give Raoul the night off and push 'play'...it's time to start Season TWO.  Crab puff? WATCH ALONG DETAILS... [Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! WELCOME BACK! We've come to the end of the Season One here at the WKRP-Cast and Sunday mornings will never be the same. This time around we meet the uniquely incomparable former wrestler turned pastor, the Reverend "Little Ed" Pembrooke. Little Ed's Sunday Morning program, brought to you by his "Church of the Mighty Struggle," delivers salvation, victory over sin, the occasional demon through a soda machine and an endless supply of "religious artifacts."  Step right up and get your very own "John the Baptist Shower Curtain" or "The World is Coming to an End" Lawn Furniture. It's all absolutely FREE when you make a 'small donation' to the good works of Little Ed's Church.  Some of the more 'proper' religious leaders in Cincinnati have noticed Little Ed's electronic tent revival hucksterism. They've descended on WKRP wanting to put a stop to it. Andy's pinned to the wall...Art's making a getaway on an Exercycle and Johnny's worried the good Reverend has set aside an extra heapin' helpin' of healin' just for him. Pull out your checkbooks, fellow babies...er, I mean Brethren...it's time push 'play' and feel the POWER! WATCH ALONG DETAILS... [Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! WELCOME BACK! You know how some guys are funny when they're mad?? Hugh Wilson must be one of those guys. CBS was all over him during the first season of WKRP to write more "visual gags." Over on ABC, "Laverne & Shirley" was a hit doing a lot of slapstick. Hugh resisted...he fought it...he thought it was lowbrow. He said WKRP is smarter than that!! The Mighty KRP talks about the Archduke Ferdinand and being obtuse!! Hugh gave in. THIS is the result!! Turns out, Hugh's pretty darn funny when he writes visual gags. "Fish Story" is LOADED with the most over-the-top visuals you could imagine...and they ALL...well, okay...and MOST of them work!! This is where they tucked in that incredible B-story about Johnny getting clearer headed with each shot of whiskey!! It's hilarious!! So if you're ready, grab a hat...I don't know, ask Venus...and load up the gang for one heck of a joyride. Officer Plyler would like to see your license and registration, then he advises you to hit "play" while  having another shot of Jack Daniels.  WATCH ALONG DETAILS... [Want to watch along with us? [THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!] WELCOME BACK!  So just what do we really know about the lovely Ms. Jennifer Marlowe? We don't know where she's from, we've never seen where she lives...we don't even how she gets her peanut butter!  In this episode, we take an historic first look in Jennie-poo's apartment. We also meet an old friend from her hometown of "Rock Throw" West Virginia.  This old friend, T.J. Watson, claims Jennifer promised to marry him. Jennifer doesn't remember any such thing, but rather than argue she decides to tell T.J. she's already married. Enter our hero, Johnny Fever. The good Doctor takes the fall for Jennifer...literally. This outing is madcap, loaded with laughs and...somewhat sunken, as Johnny's about top learn. Episode Writer and Season One Story Editor Tom Chehak is back with more great stories from the set. This one is a hoot from the holler! Stick some hotdogs in the hotdogger, grab what's left outta Herb's six of beers and hit 'play'...do I hear "Fly Me to the Moon"? It's a pretty heavy scene, man...and we discover Venus might have a few skeletons in his well stocked closet. Andy tries to get to the bottom of it. Art REALLY tries to get to the bottom of it. Ultimately, we wind up with one of the most intense, thought provoking and dramatic half hours of sitcom television you're ever likely to lay eyes on. BIG BONUS: episode Writer Tom Chehak joins us with insight and stories from the set. This script was an important one for Tom...and it turned out to be historic for CBS. It also caused a LOT of problems! Politics, powerplays, intense drama...and that's all the stuff happening backstage!
