    WeatherEye

    WeatherEye

In this episode, we interviewed Wade Lamberth, a meteorologist and the CEO of WeatherEye. Having a background in the Navy, Wade is heavily oriented in operational risk management to do military planning. For this reason, doing risk analyses for the weather is a transition and also a continuation of what he does.

Wade shares how WeatherEye helps people be prepared for severe weather conditions that can affect their daily activities. He also talks about targeting the right people, having the right messaging, and making genuine connections in business.

    In this episode, we discussed:

Using OpenAI to make work more efficient
    Making genuine connections and consistency
Targeting the right people and having the right messaging
WeatherEye and how they help people
The importance of having a good network
Finding a niche that pays well
Milestones they want to achieve for WeatherEye by the end of the year
One of the issues Wade is dealing with is awareness. It’s not much about brand awareness but awareness of having a solution to the problems that come with different weather conditions. In our marketing brainstorm, we come up with the following:

Educating people on operational risk management by making educational content.
Using Reddit as a platform to find relevant questions to reply to and building a profile that solely answers these kinds of questions.

    Gated

    Gated

In this episode, we interviewed Melissa Moody, the CMO of Gated. Gated is a technology solution that helps professionals get only the most relevant e-mails in their inboxes. It started with the founder’s problem with being bombarded by irrelevant sales e-mails. He later thought the solution he found can also be terribly valuable for everyone.

Melissa shares how they continuously shift the way people communicate at Gated. They believe that the way to win in today’s world, where more and more AIs are being developed to make content and play the algorithm game to reach people, is to bring value that aligns with human needs.

    In this episode, we discussed:

What Gated is and what it does for businesses and professionals.
The concept of Challenge E-mails and Allowed List.
Recommendations for senders to stand out and give value.
Future plans and long-term goals for Gated.
The importance of putting human needs in your content.
Michelle talks about the challenge of having a clear brand voice and nailing the messaging around what they are and what they do. We came up with the following things they can do next to solve this challenge:

Setting up a private Facebook group where people can give their insights and also recommend people who might also need Gated.
Create a program and mentor people on building in public where Gated can be the solution to better manage what they’re building.

A Must-Listen Podcast For Business Owners - Digital Marketing for Humans

I recently started to listen to Digital Marketing for Humans and I'm so glad I did! I'm a business owner myself and I'm always looking to learn from and be inspired by other business owners.

The podcast really focuses on that, and the stories of the guests are so inspiring and helpful. It's great to hear how people got started and what worked and didn't work for them. Plus, the host is really engaging and makes it easy to listen and learn.

I highly recommend this show to any business owners out there who are looking to get motivated and get a better understanding of the entrepreneurial journey. Give it a listen, you won't regret it!
