HARKEN YE! UNTO THE VOICE OF THE GOODFATHER! Welcome to the first episode of The GoodFather, a Power Within U. podcast focusing on the powerful positive impact of fathers. My father. as many of yours, was and is the most influential figure in my life. His thundering velvet hand shaped me into the man I am today. That man has informed the human being that I am, the manner in which I interact with the world, and cultivate my children, his grandchildren.= circle of life. There was never a time in my life, when his advice, perspective and love was not a treasure trove. Today, and in recent history, the media puts out more about "toxic masculinity", "deadbeat dads", "fatherlessness" and "abusive men" and we see more buffoon dads, than the protector, provider, adviser - The GoodFather. This fathers day, Sunday June 21 2020, we will speak our truth as fathers. We will speak to GoodFathers around the globe about how they have raised and are raising successful children. We will also speak to the highly successful men and women around the world about HOW their fathers shaped their success. These are the stories of the men who cultivate great people..and how they do it. We kick off The Goodfather with a series of interviews with Coach Curtis Madden II. Mr. Madden, an accomplished athlete and football coach in his own right, is the son of Curtis Madden Sr. and the father of Tre Madden III, a standout high school, collage and professional football player (Seattle Seahawks). Mr. Madden began coaching his son at the age of 8 with the goal of cultivating academic, moral and athletic excellence in his son. Similar, Mr. Madden held and enforced an equally high standard for his daughter who was a stand out student, going on to attain both her bachelor and masters degrees. Over the course of the next three episode of The GoodFather. Mr. Madden will discuss in detail the strategy, tactics and methods he used to bring the best of his kids to enable them to reach their potential. Children do not come with instruction manuals, but as future and current fathers, we can learn from men who have walked the walk before us - and succeeded.
