    27. Protect Your Peace

    To Whoever Needs It…  We suffer more often than we allow the world to see. It’s not easy to talk about and most people won’t understand what you are going through so you keep quiet and act like everything is okay… even when it’s not. I wanted to take the time to share that you aren’t alone and you don’t have to continue to suffer in silence. If you haven’t done this already, please take the time to connect with a counselor. Take the time to go to the doctor if you aren’t feeling well. Spend some time strategizing about what YOU need. Vocalize how you are so you can work to create change and improve your health, mindset, work, household and overall environment. Whatever you care about deserves the best version of yourself and you can get to a place where you are happy more often than not. It is possible. It does get better. One day at a time.  I pray that you tap into all the strength you have within you and that you use it to cultivate self love and healing habits. Do what you need to do for yourself to become a top priority. You deserve to be first. You deserve to be happy.

    26. Are You Qualified?

    I wanted to share my experience job hunting because it was an important reminder that I still have work to do. It’s okay to be talented and still want to progress. I got a job that I was overqualified for but just wanted my foot in the door and within less than a year, I received two promotions and almost doubled my salary. I grew quickly because I was qualified but I was not qualified for the initial positions I was applying for during my job search. It’s important to be honest with yourself and outline stepping stones needed for you to accomplish your goals… personally or professionally.

    25. Take Care of Yourself

    In this episode ‘Take Care of Yourself” I bring awareness to the challenge of balancing your goals and long to-do lists with the reality of how you feel and what you actually get done. We might want to do 100 things in a week but our motivation, time, and exhaustion might only produce completing 10. Not finishing everything you need to and not accomplishing all you hope to accomplish can be discouraging. I want to encourage each of you to take the time to take care of yourself above everything. Prioritize pouring into yourself, cultivating good habits and making sure you are good. Everything else will be positively impacted by your positive outlook and heathy lifestyle. We often pour into our business, job, kids, family, etc before ourselves and that model is not sustainable if you want to enjoy your life. You have to come first. Join me on this journey of self care and take the time to write out an updated wellness plan. Focus on what you want, what you need, timeframe of your goals and how you are going to take action.     24. Restructuring Your Life

    Episode 24 titled “Restructuring Your Life” is a combination of lessons and examples. I wanted to outline steps I have taken that have helped me restructure my life but also wanted to make sure to give you examples where these steps worked and created a positive impact. Change isn’t always comfortable but in this episode I encourage you to go through your process so you can get to the other side of the discomfort and be operating on a solid foundation. Here are some of the things I discuss in this episode: Take the time to self reflect. Identify what works and what doesn’t work. Focus on your health and wellness. Create business plans, life plans and budget consistently. Identify short term goals and long term goals. Create a strategic plan to achieve your goals. Pivot and create CHANGE. You can’t do the same thing and expect different results. Hire a professional, expert, business and / or life coach and seek mentorship.     23. Finish What You Start

    This episode “Finish What You Start” is about my recent experience completing a 17 year journey in pursuit of a bachelors degree. My goal with this episode is to give you a quick life update since I haven’t published an episode since February and encourage you to finish that project or assignment you’ve been thinking about. Keep working towards your goals. Continue to push the agenda forward. Don’t give up. Finish what you start. It doesn’t matter how long it takes…what is meant for you will be for you. Cultivate your community and surround yourself with positive, healthy relationships.     22. Keep Going!

    In this episode I talk about the importance of continuing to push forward. “Keep Going!” Is an important message I have to tell myself daily. In the midst of storms, stress, life, blessings and burdens… it’s easy to get overwhelmed and lose track of what needs to be done to live our best lives. We can get distracted and retract. I am constantly battling myself and my bad habits. If you struggle to be happy, to stay on track and / or to be consistent with pushing forward despite what you’re going through…. Tune in.     21. High Functioning Depression

    This episode is dedicated to all of the amazing, resilient, hard working, big dream having people that struggle and have experienced trauma throughout life. I am here for you and I know that focusing on yourself and what YOU need isn’t always easy or at the top of the list but please tune in and take the time to self reflect. There’s a limit to what we are capable of if we aren’t good. There’s more that can be accomplished if we do cater to our needs. I pray you heal and continue to live the abundant, thriving, flourishing life you deserve filled with happiness, peace, great health, wealth, love and success. Healing isn’t always easy. Working with a counselor isn’t always fun. Unpacking trauma doesn’t always feel good. It will however always and forever be worth it.     20. Balancing Business & Family

    In this episode, I share insight on my experience blending family and business! Balancing the two can be hard at times so I want to share some of what works for me and what doesn’t with hope that it helps you create more peace and order in your life down the line. To me, balance doesn’t mean everything is perfect and that you have all this energy to tackle everything and that life always goes according to plan. It’s the opposite. Life isn’t perfect and stuff is always coming up that throws you off, but if you implement things that assist you with maintaining your balance the process can be much more enjoyable. I do recommend you write some notes as you tune in. If you aren’t able to catch everything, take the time to highlight what resonates with you most. Once this episode is over, take a quick minute to self reflect about the items on your list and pick 2-5 top priority things you want to focus on. Life is a one day at a time process and it’s no rush. Remember….building proper habits and actually implementing change even if it’s one thing, promotes sustainability. We achieve long term success when we take the time to pour into ourselves and implement strategic plans to improve our lives. I am proud of you and thank you for tuning in!
