Kierra shares about her experiences in her childhood/ adolescents with navigating her personal family origin story, faith/mental health, self -image/identity, bullying, peer relationships, failures, self-actualization and ultimately developing coping strategies and discovering her own creative voice.

Kierra earned social work degrees from Abilene Christian University and University of Texas at Arlington with a focus on children and families.Kierra's credentials include: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Approved Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist and Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner.Kierra has used her skills to address a wide range of parent/child concerns. She and her team at Conscious Freedom focus on trauma, attachment styles, depression, anxiety and offer parent consultations to increase parental success. Kierra is working on further licensure in the state on Louisiana, Georgia and California while working towards her PsyD in Psychology. Her ultimate goal is to provide Animal Assisted Play Therapy.

Surviving Breast Cancer with Grit and Grace with Shaunda Morrow, M.Ed.
On this episode Che'lyn holds space with educator/activist, Shaunda Morrow. Shaunda vividly unpacks the complexities of balancing marriage, motherhood and her career in education as she navigates and learns how to manage a rare life threatening autoimmune disorder, Guillain-Barre', then years later grapples with her reality and diagnoses of breast cancer. She is engaging, thought provoking and transparent about her struggles, internal dialogue, anxiety/depression and her most challenging moments when she questioned her medical care, faith and her life's purpose. Today, as a breast cancer survivor who is now thriving-she credits her healing and recovery to the power of God , prayers, support of her loving family, tribe, sorority and community, in addition to being intentional regarding nurturing her holistic wellness which includes mind, body and spirit.

Rediscovering, Reclaiming and Reinventing Myself in Dubai with Dr.James Harris (Part 2)
TRIGGER WARNING-Ssensitive content: On this episode, Che'lyn has a compelling conversation with Dr. James Harris. He openly shares his childhood origin story, struggles growing up in a marginalized community 'the projects" in Atlanta. He reflected on navigating family secrets, cultural identity; the complexities of race, class, colorism, self -esteem/body image, peer acceptance and individuation as he pursued athletics and higher education. In part 2 of this episode Dr.Harris discusses the joys/highs, setbacks and challenges of his monumental career shifts, relationships/marriage/divorce and fatherhood. In addition to losing all of the external trappings of success, experiencing mental health issues and defining moments that lead him to cultivate the courage, passion and motivation to make peace with his past and reinvent a new self, life/career in the UAE and Dubai. Dr. James is a Professor of Business at Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai where his expertise is Statistics and Supply Chain Management. He has lived in the UAE for 5 years however Dr. James has been in the Middle East for over 12years. Dr. James is an American that was educated in both France and the US. He spent four years in France earning his Doctorate of Business Ethics from Grenoble Ecole de Management, where he published his dissertation in Corporate Cross Cultural. Additionally, he earned his MBA and Bachelors of Finance in the US at Auburn University and Clark Atlanta University respectively.
