I’ve been listening to this show for about two years now and it slowly became the only board game podcast I listen to. All three guys have wildly different tastes in board games, making their reviews all encompassing to most types of board gamers. Regardless of if they love a game or not, they’ll always give negatives or caveats for that game. Most times, one guy won’t like it, one guy will be in the middle, and one will love it. Which means, when all three love it you know it’s something you should probably pick up. The consistent flow of icebreaker question/poll, right into a review, and finishing off with games they’ve played outside of their group, makes it for a solid listener experience not needing to skip forward through banter or tangents. These guys will set you straight on the “hype” games. The collective echo chamber when a game is hot is hard to sift through, and these guys are a one stop shop to hear out before you hit checkout. “Is Old King’s Crown really that good? Should I buy Hot Streak? Is SETI really a must have?” You’ll find your answers here. While I disagree with them on some games like Dune Imperium(I know I’m an outlier), I share love do some games that some of them dislike such as Lorenzo(incredible), and Rising Sun(top 5 for me). Keep it up guys, maintain that connection to the board game world without falling into the hotness and Kickstarter trappings. God bless.
