    What Do You Want Jesus To Do For You?

    Send us Fan Mail Jesus looks at a blind man and asks a question that still messes with us: “What do you want me to do for you?” We talk about why God asks questions when He already knows the answer, and how those questions expose what’s really going on under our prayer habits, our fear, and our faith. We unpack why so many of us default to vague, safe prayers. Sometimes we’re trying to protect ourselves from disappointment. Sometimes we’re quietly trying to protect God’s reputation, like He needs us to manage His image if the outcome isn’t what we hoped. And sometimes we refuse to ask for what we need because we’re afraid it’s selfish. But Jesus makes prayer personal on purpose, and learning to be specific is one of the biggest steps toward intimacy with God. We also get honest about the answers we don’t like. God may say yes, no, or later, and none of those answers are meant to shame you. We talk about Paul’s “my grace is sufficient” moment, how God uses no to shape us, and why specificity can create real responsibility for the life we’re asking Him to build.     Send us Fan Mail “Where are you?” isn’t a threat, and it isn’t God trying to catch you in something. It’s a question that stops us in our tracks, shines a light on our drift, and invites us back to the safest place we can be: close to Jesus. Ryan and Tim kick things off with some real life stories, then dive into our Mic'd Up series where God gets the mic and His questions do the heart work we usually avoid. We talk about why God asks questions even though He’s all-knowing, and how those questions are aimed at our awareness, not His understanding. From Jonah’s resistance to God’s mercy to Adam and Eve’s fig leaves in Genesis 3, we trace a pattern: temptation often becomes normal before it becomes obvious, and we start living “near the fence” where we can’t be protected. Along the way, we hit integrity and wholeness, and why a consistent life is actually freedom, not restriction. Then we connect it all to Luke 15 and the prodigal son. The son comes home wrecked, but the father runs, covers him with a robe, and restores him with a ring.     Hard Questions? Q&A Part 2

Pastor Ryan wraps up the Hard Questions series by starting where many people get stuck: we do not lack evidence, we often feel overwhelmed by it. He makes a clear case for confidence in Scripture, then offers a simple invitation for skeptics and seekers alike: stay open minded, start reading, and see what happens when God’s Word begins to work on you. From there we take on a question that sounds like a mic drop until you sit with Jesus’ words: if God already knows what you need, why pray? We walk through why prayer is not about informing God, performing with many words, or trying to strong arm heaven. Instead, prayer is communion with a Father who already cares and an instrument God chooses to work through. We also address the tension in Scripture where God “relents” in some passages while other texts say God does not change, and we define intercession as standing in the gap for others, including how the Spirit and Christ intercede for us. We also tackle two high interest topics people search for constantly: why Protestants recognize 66 books while Catholics include additional books, and what the Bible actually teaches about ghosts, mediums, witches, and the occult. Pastor Ryan sits down with a stack of listener submissions and answers them with Scripture, candor, and the kind of pastoral care that makes room for both conviction and compassion. We start with grief and the loss of a spouse, pushing back on the pressure to “be over it” and holding tight to the promise that God is near to the brokenhearted.     The Empty Tomb Confirms The Cross Was Enough

    Send us Fan Mail If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, then Christianity is not just wrong, it’s pointless. That’s the blunt question we sit with as we wrap up Signs And Glory, our long walk through the Gospel of John, and zoom in on the final movements: remain, finished, and risen. We talk about why we rush past the cross and forget what “It Is Finished” actually cost. The resurrection is the stamp of confirmation on every claim Jesus made, and it also explains the sudden change in the disciples. These aren’t heroes looking for a platform. They hide, they doubt, they panic, and then they become witnesses who are willing to suffer because they believe they saw a living Christ. We also touch on the early testimony of the church and why skeptics still have to wrestle with the historical claim that the tomb was empty and people insisted they encountered Jesus. Then we make it personal. Mary is crushed by grief until Jesus calls her by name. Thomas refuses to believe without proof, and Jesus meets him right there. Peter feels disqualified after denial, but Jesus restores him with one question asked three times: “Do you love me?” That restoration leads into abiding in Christ, where obedience grows from gratitude, not from trying to earn salvation, because grace through faith is a gift.     Rediscovering the Forgotten God

    Send us Fan Mail Judas is in the room, close enough to share bread with Jesus, and yet he still walks out into the night. That single detail from John’s Gospel stops us in our tracks because it forces an uncomfortable question: how close can someone get to Jesus, to church, to Christian language, and still miss a surrendered heart? Pastor Ryan and Pastor Tim pick up week 14 of Signs and Glory by taking a wide view of John 13 and John 14 as one continuous upper room conversation. We talk about why chapter breaks can hide the flow of the story, then sit with the weight of Jesus washing feet, including Judas’ feet, while fully aware of the betrayal coming. From there we trace the slow drift that can happen through small compromises, private sin, and a mask that fools everyone else. The conversation turns practical as we explore confession and repentance, and why an active, ongoing confession of Jesus as Lord keeps us tender instead of numb. We also spend time clearing away confusion about the Holy Spirit: not just hype, not just feelings, and not reserved for a select few.     That They Would See Jesus

    Send us Fan Mail This week, Pastor Tim and Pastor Ryan pivot into John 12 from our Signs and Glory series in the Gospel of John and center on three responses to Jesus. Mary models costly devotion, pouring out what she could have kept for herself and choosing worship that is unmistakably about Christ. The crowd cheers for a king, but their expectations reveal how easy it is to follow Jesus with an agenda, treating Him like a tool for our outcomes. Then the Greeks arrive with a simple request that hits like a spotlight: “We want to see Jesus.” If that’s what people want, our everyday integrity, our relationships, and our private choices matter more than we think. We also name six common obstacles that can blur the picture: celebrity pastor culture, politicized Christianity, worship production that becomes the point, modern Christian anxiety and cultural panic, masked Christianity that lacks authenticity, and Bible knowledge that never becomes relationship.
