Love these two, have ran into them multiple times in protests, they’re the real deal. Really into this podcast already

Linda Sarsour and Rafael Shimunov aren’t just talking heads, these two are passionate and funny activists with deep networks and roots across the movement. They’re lifting up work of fighters in the most real and entertaining way possible and their personal stories could fill a book.

I’d follow raf and linda over hot coals, so this pod is a total win. Honestly IDK (or care) how Jesus feels about them, but I love Linda and Raf. To the moon and back.

If all you know of Linda Sarsour are the slanderous distortions presented by the Right, lazy journalists, and a mix of well-intentioned liberals and intentionally malevolent uncritical Zionists, then you wouldn’t know that her wit is as quick and incisive as her analysis. Rafael Shimunov is a Queens-based Jewish organizer, videographer, and jokester who you should follow if you don’t already. I believe we are all fallible and leadership should be distributed and little d democratic--but these are two New Yorkers from whose example and thinking I’ve learned so much. This is a wide-ranging conversation between friends/comrades that covers a bunch of hard- and soft-hitting topics in just under 75 minutes. Highly recommended.
