Re-released from 2019: Women of Influence

We are re-releasing this episode of #FEWomenSpeakly, from 11 April 2019, to co-incide with our '#YouToo — Can make intersectional gender equality the reality in FE' conference on Wednesday 31.3.21. Thirty years ago Ann Limb was the first ever chair of WLN. Now, in 2021, she's joining us at the #YouToo conference looking back over the history and achievements of WLN with Sally Dicketts (AoC president-elect) and Pauline Odulinski (Chair of City College Plymouth; Board member of Activate Learning Group and Fellow and Visiting Professor at Buckinghamshire New University).  In the episode, Kathryn James caught up with Ann Limb (Founder & Vice President Helena Kennedy Foundation; Fellow Commoner of Lucy Cavendish College University of Cambridge; named in the Northern Power Women 2019 Power List; #1 LGBTQ+ public sector role model on the 2019 "OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Model Lists) to find out about the early days of WLN; what advice she'd give her younger self; and why in 2019 Ann began speaking out about her own intersectional identity. As if Ann, Sally and Pauline are not enough, our #YouToo conference is packed with even more inspirational women speakers including:  Mandu Reid, our keynote speaker on growing and sustaining feminist activism. As Leader of the Women's Equality Party (WEP) Mandu is the first person of colour to lead a national political party in British history.  Alumnae from the Education and Training Foundation funded WLN Women Up 2020 and Women Up 2021 courses Arinola Edeh (Principal and Head of Service of Westminster Adult Education Service); Clare Howard (NATSPEC CEO); Corrie Harris (Principal and CEO Moulton College); Fiona Morey (Executive Principal Lambeth College and CEO South Bank Academies Trust); Lindsey Johnson (Principal and CEO Craven College); and Yvonne Kelly (Principal and CEO Barking and Dagenham College). Book your place at #YouToo on 31.3.21 from 16.00-19.30 on Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/WLNYouToo2021
