Ep. 140: Are We Overcomplicating Motherhood? Why Moms Feel So Overwhelmed

Are we making motherhood harder than it needs to be? Between gentle parenting, mom guilt, endless parenting advice, and the pressure to raise emotionally healthy children, it's no wonder so many moms feel overwhelmed and exhausted. But what if some of our motherhood burnout isn't coming from what our children actually need, but from the expectations we've placed on ourselves? In this episode of the Pursue HER Podcast, Kelley challenges us to take an honest look at how we may be overcomplicating motherhood. From constantly negotiating with our children and trying to prevent every disappointment to feeling responsible for making every moment special, we're talking about the parenting habits that may be creating unnecessary stress. You'll discover how to establish healthy boundaries, release unrealistic expectations, and simplify motherhood without sacrificing intentionality or connection with your children. Being a good mother doesn't mean you have to do everything. If you've been struggling with mom guilt, parenting pressure, or feeling like you're never doing enough, this conversation is for you. Listen now and ask yourself: Am I doing what my children need, or am I doing what I've convinced myself a good mother should do? 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 📥 Download Resource: Pursue HER Resource Packet - FREE https://www.kelleyjbell.com/product-page/pursue-her-resource-packet 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion? You love your husband, you believe in marriage, but you're exhausted, discouraged, and wondering how things will get better. In this episode of the Pursue HER Podcast, we're having an honest conversation about navigating difficult seasons in marriage, shifting your perspective through prayer, addressing marital challenges, and taking practical steps toward a healthier relationship without losing yourself in the process. Ep. 138: Why Am I Feeling Like This? When Your Emotions Suddenly Feel Unfamiliar

Have you found yourself thinking, “Why am I so emotional lately?” Maybe you are crying more, becoming overwhelmed more easily, or feeling things you have never experienced before. You know something feels different, but you are not sure why or what to do with it. Before you tell yourself to get over it and keep pushing, pause. Your emotions may be revealing something that needs your attention. In this episode, Kelley talks honestly about giving yourself permission to feel, admitting when you are not okay, and finding safe places to process what is happening within you. You will learn how to acknowledge your emotions without allowing them to control your decisions, recognize when past pain may be affecting your present responses, and identify when it may be time to seek additional support. You may have survived by putting up walls, staying strong, and pushing through the pain, but surviving and being free are not the same thing. What if these unfamiliar emotions are not proof that you are falling apart? What if they are revealing an opportunity to heal, renew your mind, and prepare for your next season? The question is not whether freedom is available. The question is: Are you willing to choose it? 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 🖥️ Introductory Life Coach Session https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=23520335&appointmentType=71264148 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion? Ep. 137 : Are You Raising Kids Together but Drifting Apart?

You love your children. You love your husband. But somewhere between school schedules, practices, meals, homework, bills, college decisions, and everything else that comes with raising a family, your marriage can quietly start getting whatever is left over. And sometimes, you don't even realize it's happening. In this episode of the Pursue HER Podcast, we're talking about what happens when you and your husband become really good at managing the children and the household, but stop being intentional about being husband and wife. We're getting into the signs you may be overlooking, how motherhood can impact your connection with your husband, and practical ways to start turning toward each other again without feeling like you have to choose between being a good mom and being an intentional wife. Because you're not just raising children together. You're building a marriage while you do it. Continue to Pursue HER, being Heroic, Empowered, and Resilient as the woman, wife, mother, and daughter of God He has called you to be. 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 📥 Download Resources: Marriage Check In: https://www.kelleyjbell.com/product-page/the-marriage-check-in-worksheet 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion? Ep. 136: When Your Children Leave Home: The Grief Moms Don’t Talk About

We spend years raising our children to grow up, become independent, and eventually leave home. But nobody really prepares moms for what it feels like when they actually do. In this episode of the Pursue HER Podcast, we’re talking about the grief that can come when your children begin leaving home, even when you still have other children to raise. How do you honor what you’re feeling without allowing the grief to consume you? How do you stay present for the children who are still home? And if you’re married, how do you protect your marriage as your family dynamics begin to change? We’re also talking about the transition into an empty nest, rediscovering who you are outside of active motherhood, and learning how to embrace what God may be doing in this next season of your life. Your role as a mother may be changing, but your life, identity, and purpose are far from over. 🎧 Let’s talk about how to grieve what was, appreciate what still is, and make room for what’s next. 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion? Ep. 135: You Don’t Have to Prove Your Calling: When God Said It, That’s Enough

Have you been explaining, defending, and trying to prove what God placed inside of you because other people cannot see it yet? You do not need everyone’s approval before you obey God. However, walking confidently in your calling does not mean becoming prideful, unteachable, or unwilling to receive wise counsel. In this episode, Kelley discusses the difference between godly confirmation and constantly seeking validation. You will learn how to stop performing your calling, remain faithful during hidden seasons, and allow your obedience, character, and fruit to speak over time. Sis, , you are not called because people clapped for you. You are called because God spoke. Your responsibility is to keep saying yes. 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 🖥️ Complimentary Life Coach Session https://www.cognitoforms.com/KelleyJBell1/ComplimentaryEmpowermentSession2 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion? Ep. 134: When Your Husband Isn't Leading the Way You Hoped

Are you tired of feeling like you're carrying the weight of your marriage? Maybe you're making the decisions, initiating the conversations, managing the responsibilities, and wondering why your husband isn't leading the way you hoped he would. You never wanted to be in this position, but somewhere along the way, it felt like someone had to step up. If that's where you are, this episode is for you. Today, we're having an honest conversation about frustration, disappointment, unmet expectations, and God's design for wives. Before you dismiss the idea of being a helper because you're exhausted or feel like you're already doing everything, I want to challenge you to consider whether some of the weight you're carrying was ever yours to carry in the first place. We'll talk about what it truly means to be a helper, why that role is often misunderstood, and how fear, hurt, and control can quietly keep us from experiencing the peace and partnership God intended for marriage. This is not about ignoring problems, pretending everything is okay, or remaining silent when concerns need to be addressed. It's about asking God to reveal where we may be operating out of frustration instead of faith and whether there is a better way forward. If you've ever thought, "Why would I be a helper when I feel like I'm doing everything?" this conversation is for you. 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 📥 Download Resources: Marriage Check In: https://www.kelleyjbell.com/product-page/the-marriage-check-in-worksheet 📚 Pursue HER - Living Boldly as a Daughter of God - https://www.kelleyjbell.com/category/all-products 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion? Ep.133: Motherhood Is Not Your Entire Identity | Finding Yourself Again

Motherhood is a beautiful part of who you are, but somewhere between taking care of everybody else, managing the schedules, meeting the needs, and carrying the mental load, it can become easy to lose sight of the woman behind the title of “Mom.” In this episode of Pursue HER, we’re talking about what happens when motherhood becomes your entire identity and why rediscovering yourself does not mean you love your children any less. We’ll talk about the difference between sacrifice and completely losing yourself, letting go of the guilt that comes with making space for you, and reconnecting with the gifts, dreams, interests, and purpose God placed inside of you. Your children are an important part of your story, but they are not your entire story. You are still growing. You are still becoming. And there is still more God wants to do in and through you. 🎧 Press play and let’s talk about finding yourself again without feeling guilty about it. 💡 Stay Connected with Kelley: 🎥 Watch this chat (and others) on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@KelleyJBell 📚 Pursue HER - Living Boldly as a Daughter of God - https://www.kelleyjbell.com/category/all-products 🌐 Visit my website: www.kelleyjbell.com 📥 Join my free newsletter for faith-filled encouragement, practical wisdom, and resources to help you thrive as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. https://kelleyjbell.kit.com/778a79f2d7 📲 Follow me on Instagram and TIkTok: @KelleyJBell or @PursueHERPodcast Let’s Continue the Conversation! 📩 Have a question or topic suggestion?
