With a title that boasts in its averageness, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect going into episode 1. Boy was I blown away. Let me recap my experience.
My girlfriend had just left me - something about being too good a lover - anyway here I sat, well-endowed but lonely. “What” I wondered. “What could possibly fill this giant hole in my heart? Could it be money? No... I had too much of that already. Could it be game? No... I prefer to run this country from the shadows.”
But then, by divine providence, the heavens opened and the Lord declared to me that I should listen to this podcast. I don’t think I would go so far as to say that it saved me, but it did pull me from the ashes of my despair.
I can’t decide if it’s the playful banter between friends - making me believe I too was a friend of those wonderful men. Maybe it was the educational experience where I learned about sports (and a little something about myself). Maybe it was the great jokes and laughter - I mean who doesn’t think Paul Rudd is the most average person! 😂
I guess what I’m trying to say is this - I’ve been all over the world, met the most interesting people, had the best experiences, but today I learned that I had never really lived until I listed to this podcast.
