The Bones Booth: A Bones Podcast

I love this podcast! Feels like I’m sitting with friends talking about the show. I really appreciate how in depth they go each episode. A must listen for any fan of the show!

Started listening because I was rewatching Bones. I like that they go over what happens in each scene, give local context for folks who don’t live in DC, and maintain a consistent way of running each episode. However, episodes are way too long for what they are and hosts seem to miss the point of some of the show’s choices or storylines. They seem young and maybe not as smart or informed as they think they are. Occasional holier-than-thou attitude is irritating and tangents irrelevant to the show (or most listeners) often go on too long. Skipping more and more as I continue to listen. Edited to add after having listened to more of these: I’ve been coming back to these less and less because it’s hard to listen to them when the hosts keep being wrong in addition to everything they were having issues with before. They often very confidently state things that are incorrect and I’m starting to wonder if it’s some sort of gimmick, that these are some of the mega-fan’s not so smart friends that are supposed to be playing off of her knowing more just so they have more to talk about. Either way, the experience is kind of like having to watch someone play a game poorly and not being able to help.

I have always loved Bones - I’m probably on Maggie’s level of number of times I have seen this show! The format of having some people obsessed with the show and others that have never seen it is so fun. I am always so excited to see what Andrew and Aqeel think of the ep! I think they do a wonderful job breaking down the show to where you do not have to watch the ep to understand everything that’s happening. The extra info that is given throughout the podcast is great, especially the DC specific stuff. I love the tangents it makes it feel like I’m having a discussion with friends!

As a Bones fan, this is a great podcast to have on in my office while I work. Great chemistry, fun banter and spot on show reviews!
