Listening to this podcast is a lovely experience—you can really hear Cindy grow from a novice podcast host with the nervous giggles and sometimes untimely self deprecating humor, not yet sure when or what questions to prompt her guests with. It’s easy to give her grace, though, because she improves so fast. By episode 4, she’s not only settling into her own skin and confidence, but also finding guests that match her energy and bring a lot of life to the podcast.
She finds people I wouldn’t have thought of, in fields that might have been overlooked, and gives an important dimension to Taiwan that more politically focused doomsdayers. It’s so important and wonderful to be able to see more of Taiwan in the world around us. Several of her episodes have a waterfall effect where she introduces you to new sources of Taiwan related content and it’a so exciting. A wonderful podcast for anyone and especially for the children of the diaspora.
