From the moment I hit play I was taken down a dark path. I truly appreciate the you can hear all sides of the stories. Steve brings a unique perspective which I have not heard done before on a cast.
Got a little backwards and started with #3 “Father O’Toole” and wow, that one sat heavy on me, especially remembering pieces of a news story I’d heard in 2012..... it was actually a really sad story, and made me have empathy for priests and the mental (and often physical) abuse they suffer at the hands of family, and Religous leaders in regards to very average sexual needs.
Realized after continuing on, it really does not matter what order you listen in, the material is great! And real, sad, at times scary.
Favorite line so far was “not a tourist, but a permanent resident” so powerful! “Johnny was born this way” shot a chill down my spine. Coming from Steve, and his brilliance, hearing about Johnny’s narcissism and genetics, I am unlearning my own preconceived notions of good vs evil.
This is great! Absolutely recommend!
Steve’s voice is so calming, and I can’t wait for more to come!
