Jenny sat down with financial planner Sam Harrington to get a clear picture of what's changing and what you can do about it now. Andy and Jenny visited the charity's offices on Nottingham Road in Loughborough to meet chief executive Varsha Parmar, vice chair Geetha Bala, NHS talking therapies project officer Zee Sattar, and EmpowHer project officer Minara Rahman. They talked about the work Equality Action does in local communities, how it started, and how it's changed since then.     Meeting Mary Baird, Author of Daisy's Doings

    We sat down with our client Mary Baird to talk about her children's book, Daisy's Doings. Aimed at 3 to 5 year olds, the story follows Daisy on a shopping trip with her mum. She brings along her favourite toy — though she doesn't know what it's called, so she simply calls it her "Doings". Along the way, different people offer their own ideas about what it might be called. With its gentle repetition and simple, engaging language, Daisy's Doings works well for early readers and story time, supporting young children as they build confidence with words. Mary says the idea arrived in its own way — as many good stories do — and grew from there. One of the best parts of our work at Chesterton House is seeing our clients' goals come to life — and Mary's book is a wonderful example of that.
