    Shannon Parola is the founder of The Game of Nerds and Mama of her eighteen-month-old, Marvel. The Game of Nerds was created in Shannon's hospital bed in 2013 as a way to deal with all the binge-watching she was doing after being diagnosed with Celiacs Disease. The Game of Nerds is a nerd entertainment website that gives fans and writers the ability to learn and write about their favorite fandoms in a safe environment. While creating a nerd empire, Shannon has been a career nanny, newborn care specialist, and sleep consultant for the past fifteen years in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a mom and childcare provider, she has a unique perspective and insight for parents and nannies. Due to COVID, she’s opened her Childcare Coaching services to support parents through their childrearing struggles and navigate the various childcare options available to them. What works for one family might not work for all, so Shannon strives to help families figure out a system that works to allow them to become successful as a whole.
