    Mural Of Social Change

This is a recording of Renae Morriseau’s Mural for Social Change: Restorative Justice. The play contains scenes of violence (32:50 - 33:28) and strong language. Listener discretion is advised. Restorative Justice (RJ) focuses on the rehabilitation of offenders through reconciliation with victims and the community at large. It is an approach to justice that emphasizes healing in victims, accountability,  reflection and personal growth on the part of offenders, and the involvement of citizens in creating healthier, safer communities. But, what does an RJ process look like? In this radio play, Derrick and Laura's story allow us to witness a harmful incident, the unfolding of an RJ process, and the facilitation of a restorative justice contract. Starring: Olivia Lucas – Laura Austin MacWhirter - Derrick Margo Kane - Rayna Paulo Ribeiro - Randy Pippa Mackie - Tina Genevieve Fleming - Jenifer Philip Prajoux - Officer John Davey Calderon - Reggie/Witness Quinn Greysen – Brenda We thank the Law Foundation of British Columbia for their support of this production.
