The Pictures Got Small

Without doubt, this podcast is at the top of my list. I appreciate the depth of research: it’s thorough and fascinating. I hope this podcast continues.

I’ve listened to all the episodes and quite enjoyed them except I had to stop listening to the Wizard of Oz episode (listened to last because I’ve heard a lot about it already) when the speaker mentioned Sidney Luft writing (years after Judy had passed) about how the little people actors playing the munchkins treated Judy Garland. Luft claimed they groped her, however many Oz historians have debunked this. Judy herself recorded tapes mentioning the people who did sexually assault her and she never mentioned the actors who played the munchkins. Judy Garland however did call Luft a “liar who should be dunked into the Libre Tar Pits.” This story is incredibly damaging to an already group of marginalized people. I’m deeply disappointed that it was mentioned and not immediately followed up with the truth that anyone who bothers doing more than surface level research would know.

I just listened to two episodes today, and I sure hope you're still making them because Iove this podcast. It's simply outstanding. I have learned so much and am thoroughly enjoying every minute. Great stuff - please keep 'em coming!!!
